On euro mana pots aren't used. So swapping skill gcs for life/mana scs is quite common. Usually it is about how to find a good balance between dmg and life/mana. Because mana is so important even some amazons might use some life/mana (instead of dmg/life) to compensate low mana pool for certain match ups. Char and build type, match up and play style all matter. It is quite common that a sorc for example has multiple set ups and adjusts also life/mana scs accordingly for certain match ups. The sorc you linked there is a tr post with stat screen with highest life/dmg I assume. Im not an expert of 49 vita soso but Im sure it has some other set ups with more mana as well. And it is obviously a vita sorc that has its pros and cons.

One thing to consider tho is that for certain match ups you want to maximize you dmg output because of the given (euro) rules. Good example is when you are up against a character that is allowed to wear tg. A trap assa with 5 or 6k trap dmg is quite weak compared vs a 8 or 9k trap dmg when opponent is wearing tg.

I disagree with worrywart about mld duels being fast. Obviously it is heavily match up dependent, but on euro mld tours for example when ppl are actually trying :D duels tend to be quite long. 10 minutes + duels are not that rare. Sure some short duels as well.

/e: and I don't remember anyone at mld on east that used a bunch of 5frw legit scs, few people would have 2 or 3 here and there, but it was so fucking dead on east that i dont remember anyone ever going out of their way to make a big collection of them. we'd rather use them on our 30s
