which is a very fair argument - my fissure has 45 rep on his basic gear, arguably i could use a 3 pruby helm but id still hit 30 rep, the more important feature in skull the helm for me is the 57% mana regen which lets me eliminate mana issues 99% of the time.  i really only run low when im in a 1v2 situation and i have to get creative with my fissure placements, limiting regen downtime.

running to regen is outright stupid - although when im forced into situations where its a 1v2 or even 1v3 im going to play defensively enough so that i have a "chance" to win.  still this doesnt mean i run off mini-maps for 30+ secs then pick and choose my spots, im going to essentially pick a spot where i have a chance to dish out damage and limit incoming damage and hold that position

still, plenty of char setups can reach ~30 rep without making much sacrifice, its the fact taht fissures basically only use 3 socket/3 fissure helms that give them a distinct 15 rep/57% regen on them at all times.  if you took out my amulet (10 rep) and belt (4 rep), id still have 31 rep.

You know I was giving serous thought to giving in and making a zealer while I had the coins instead of collecting a bunch of nec gear. But you have inspired me to make a fissure. After seeing how effective yours is and the play style it looks fun as hell and a overall strong char.

Limit rep on 2 or 3 pieces of gears, whatever people chose to use, and whatever amount they are.

Depends on what kind of style of play you have. They are fun but i got bored of mine. I like necros, zons and sins a lot, although im not the greatest on a necro.

If i find anything for a fissure dudu ill give it to you or justin

fissure has a very interesting learning curve, its rather different to have your main skill have a 3 second cooldown

Since i wont make another fissure, im going to try to find you a +3 fissure + raven hat. That would be very fun imo vs 99% of chars with shields

I like to be real aggressive which sometimes is my downfall. But after dueling with him for those 3 some hours the other night much like a nec it seems to me that a fissure can be played both super aggressively and defensively given the situation.

I played agressive vs zons and defensive vs chargers

A lot of my game play vs zons depended on how i casted oak sage.

Im comfortable dueling zons because i zvz often so i framiliar with which distances you get invis ga's and when ga's start tracking.

I typically duel them they way i duel them on a sin, cast the summon out in front of you as far as possible and run to that cover, rinse lather repeat. If your not in nl yet the summon will take the hit and you stop running so your block isnt terrible. By the time your in tracking distance you can also nl fissure

maybe, although i dont know if thats even possible

my current helm has +1 dire which actually has put people into block and is a decent shield since my mana pool is high enough to justify the cost ( 20 mana)

ravens cant be hit though so they are n1 vs zons in close range they not only cause block animations, they also cause dodges
