Well think of it this way vlld is primarily lvl 9 but there are lvl 12 builds acceptable so why cant lvl 18 be rebalanced to have exceptions to the lvl cap rule

Yy I know plus we could make the "fun" builds into kinda competitive ones and get more choices like u said instead the common palas and so on. Lets see what think about it the other18 players.

so far lvl20 seems to be the best compromise in opinions. all but one person thinks it shouldn´t stay capped at lvl18. I think I am hearing people want a lvl20 cap at lest to see if it balances things out. imo we should start with sorc´s (cus they´re the most obvious then branch out if a few random builds need to push past 18 to be competetive.

i would imagine that ib/cb/fb sorcs would all have a different comprimised level because they have different advantages/disadvantages

--- fb has amazing mana rep and good range (because of the cast speed)
--- Ib has more damage than fb but far worse in terms of mana consumption and missile speed
--- Cb has the worst mana consumption but can hit multiple targets in a tvt

when rancid made the first lvl 15 ice blaster (maybe it was 18) he ruined almost any lvl 18 that came up to him. this was more when there were only toe to toe melee's at 18 though. so i dunno ne more.

its because back then lld gear wasnt traded as commonly so the majority of people had to sacrifice a lot to obtain resistances. Now everyone has res swap gear so it should always be factored into discussion especially when we are talking about 1v1 dueling. tvt is different because i might stack light res vs a zon and open myself up to cold damage from an ib sorc etc

Since I got no sorcs I might try to lvl my 18 cs to 20 and see if can stand vs necs, palas and so. At 18 she is just useless vs those builds if they have full resi. The wof sin is another story coz have imba rep and nice frw so even if it takes long it can still kill many 75 fire res chars.

i agree. wof is fine at lvl18.

I think it would be better to examine this on a build by build basis like brian was saying. maybe fw stay at 18 while fb is capped at lvl19 and ib, cb go to 20. it´s worth doing to have more builds that can compete with the rest of the field.
