some stuff my 49 barb uses

What is the point of that jewel in your sword?
Normally you get ~36 str from either 4 sox dusk or shaft and 3 sox dragon so you need 15 more str for oath in your dual wield setup (belt/boots i guess).
I would either use Um for dmg or ed/str/dex/-req for more life and free choice of belt & boots.

Every barb who plays 1v1 maybe? Dual wield has higher dmg and also has the chance that your opponent gets stuck in block/fhr animations.

2*oath has 3% more damage than 1*oath 2hand
and yes, the chance to lock your opponent in block is higher
but with the dmg of 2hand the chance to get your opponent stunned due to >1/6hp dmg is higher

also due to limited stash space there are more important things than 3% higher damage in nonblock setup ;)

Due ~ 300 avg dmg with one hand you have a very high chance to put every caster into fhr.

I guess its a matter of personal preference, i never had the choice between 2x oath or twohanded rare but i pretty sure i would prefer the stun over the life gain (unless you got a 450ed rare or so xD)

(For space issues get a 5 bo helm and throw away that prebo-stuff :P)

well i do have nearly perfect 5bo helms, but they don't come close to cube bo ;)
imo life is more important on barb than damage, after a certain amount of both.. but like you said personal preference determines builds

If you like life more you could use ed/str/dex/-req like i said.

Almost forget: the dmg bonus while dual wielding doesnt come from the 3% higher avg on weapons but from the doubled +max dmg (inventory) compared to a single sword.

e: with 90 max from inventory thats ~ 14% higher dmg with two swords.

i have 108max from inventory and that ends up giving me ~12% more damage, so yes the difference is larger
but there's still ~6% difference in life and the problem of stash size being limited
there are more vital parts of equipment, such as high def armor for bvb or res charms which give you a bigger difference in effectiveness than a second sword would

/actually when block is not needed one could switch raven for a second str ring, combined with 10str from belt (tg or some ow/rare) that would give you sufficient str to equip another oath
