Your argumentation that giving the items back is also scamming is not right. To scamm there have to be a legal owner and the scammer is not a legal owner.
Royalition would be forced to give it back by the police, if you use the real life example. Why should we handle the things diffrent? Only because it is a game we use a complettly diffrent basic for laws?
