From my point, I knew that Juan had the advantage in both skills and character. I decided to go for ~230 Mind Blast damage and boost up my FRW/Cold Resist%..
But still, I saw Juan as the most easiest matchup since all other chars who qualified was either barbarian, charger or a bowazon which I think would be way harder specially by being defensive.
In the end it was obvious that he would win due to his skills of aiming with blizzards even though my strategy was perfectly made :)

Juan deserved the win, I don't think people here are aware of how good he is.

Only people I think have a chance vs him in this tournament would be either Snatch or Ferdia..

with high FRW and DR and practice you will start getting good results vs amazons as well.

But of course, if the sorc aim better than assa, assa will loose. And juan seems to be (really) skilled.

But imo, blizz > pure trapper

We are all entitled to our own opinions i guess... ( i disagree with both of your observations for MLD ). even if he had an anti-sorc build he is still at a disadvantage in my opinion. i guess we will simply disagree on this.

I mean df combined with massive ow + psn + mb is very painfull for es sorc

yes but he has to actually successfully land. if the sorc is good enough the assa won't successfully df much (whats needed to win). in comparison the ls trapper does not need to land a df in order to win.

Well iirc you actually have to land just one. Wich is more than doable in a entire duel.

If you don't df as trapper vs sorcs it means you're defwhoring. If you're defwhoring vs a blizz sorc, you can only count on luck ( aka you're couting on bad tele, etc ). Most of time skill > luck tho.
