That is completely different than in regular D2, and would change attempt to build a hydrid sin. Could anyone link me the the article or video where this testing took place? I would also like to know if AR check no longer exists before trying to find a bunch of 1/20/13-15's. Thank you for information.

i didnt record it but it was a very simple test.

1k ar sin vs 4k def, max block barb standing still: 10 df in a row landed
df sin vs psn zon standing still (max block, dodge): 10 df in a row landed
same for dragon claw/dragon talon/exploding kick. however i didnt test dc vs dodge, just against a max block paladin staying still.

if you want to make sure, give me a game name and ill hop on my sin and show you.

can you try DF with Open wounds vs a sorc, and DF him 10 times after each OW proc and let me know what that looks like?

it completely annihiliates ES sorcs with a low HP pool. you'd have to play super defensive to have the tiniest of chance.

Firewall Observations ~



So firewall was already strong in D2og, and now its even stronger. too strong in fact, resulting in some classes simply having no chance vs it now.

With 1 Point Mastery, 1 Point Warmth and maxed out firewall, Firewall does 842 Damage. i.e. current D2r without maxing Warmth, (i.e. 22 spare skill points) does comparable damage to a maxed warmth Firewaller in D2og (no spare skill points).
With 22 points remaining, I will see what 3 points warmth (level 14 with skills) and maxed TK (level 26 with skills) looks like in terms of pvp.

The alternative is to try 10~15 points wamth. but regardless of anything I do, a firewaller in D2r will always be far stronger or far tougher then one in d2og.

What’s the end goal? Creating a field with the most viable characters? Least amount of top op chars? Making the gap between ss tier chars less than s tier characters? Sack and me have been chatting, and the application of nerfs and buffs should most likely be geared toward creating a middle ground where every character is close to balanced. It’s pretty obvious kicks and es firewalls are op af. You know necs would be ss tier with bone prison and decrep? Those are banned for a reason. Thus they fall to A tier. Paladins would be SS with no limit on prayer, so there is a nerf to that and they fall in a bracket lower. Why no cap on warmth? The nerfs and buffs should be consistent across every class to create an environment with the most amount of builds that viably balance out to a levelish playing field. Hypothetically an environment with every class being in the A tier bracket, maybe a few S tier at most, maybe a few B tier at most. Slow missles is banned on Zon because it’s OP no? Why waste effort testing something that’s obvious on the surface of how op kicking is in D2r it’s already established.. every class has fallen into place because of specific nerfs or buffs and most out of personal bias tbh. What is actually the end goal here

even with a cap on wamth they have 23 spare skill points. that will result in same damage as d2og and +19 skillpoints (hello TK). the other option, which i will get around to, is fire mastery banned. i'll update later what that damage looks like. if its close to d2og, great (ideally it will be slightly more, which is win win).
