I think the issue is confused when people try to differentiate between usable llders and trophy chars. A dupe can never be a trophy. Most good llder's want their chars to be looked at as trophy's because of the amount of work that goes into collecting them. Allot of the enjoyment in lld comes from the amount of effort you can put into a char to make it work properly. If we allow dupes to be considered gm then we take away people's motivation to make their chars legitly and take away from the enjoyment that ensues from the effort we put into them. When we make a hld hdin with shako, hoto, nigma, torch, skillers we are making an extremely affective (if played properly) yet boring char with no unique features or originality. In my mind lld is an attempt to get away from the extremely common use of mods, dupes, and imports that cheapen the efforts of people who are trying to keep the game it was originally intended to be played. The way they've enjoyed it since it came out when they were 14. The way they grew up with it. If you want to use dupes fine, do it. Don't expect people who don't want to see them and what they represent to be accepting of the very thing they were trying to avoid when they came from hld pvp to lld pvp.

people started llding to get away from hld dupes, mods, and general bm practices. to find a level playing field where putting effort into your char means more. the point of lld is not to have a lower level dueler. it's to avoid the things that we don't like about the other scene.
This is exactly how I see it.
Imo, these doops change nothing. All the people I enjoy dueling with who are actually skilled at this game wouldn't be caught dead using these imports/doops and the people who currently use doops are either shunned from tourneys and ladders anyway...
Inb4 $2k 100%doop char gets posted in tropy room
