that's wonderful, but its more supply based than rules based.

even in a few months the items for a cookie cutter hdin will be available but items for more obscure builds wont be.

the first tourney is a beta test, even if the test is just to confirm the top builds are still top. honestly we could use a standard ruleset just to confirm how OP mindblast is on 63 fcr, if we change 100 rules it will be harder to ascertain.

MB vs known matchups like Hdin are easy to evaluate, vs lvl 35 shapers its not as easy, imo.

a shaper 30 can kill an assasssin. the shaper being 35 does not open a doorway to change the matchup. the problem is vs alot of builds the shaper was disadvantaged in the past, but now its almost impossible without desync.
will test a lot of things but i expect that a 30 shaper has 0 chance now vs a bowa. it already had less then 20% chance, and 0% vs barb.

not having a frw cap means a shaper will simply never win vs a bowa.

hard counters do suck, but in all of competitive gaming they exist, even in perfectly balanced games.

if a shaper has a 20% chance that should mean they lose 5-1 or so in any set, even if well balanced via gear.

ibzack used to run a telestaff rabies druid, maybe that's the way.

overall MB is the main issue on the table BY FAR. if anything needs testing its just that imo.

sin gonna be op, bowa hard counters sin, tele barb (?) gonna hard counter that. early d2r gonna be rock paper scissors.

Giving characters special privileges because they’re bad and limiting other characters because they’re good is why euros get stepped on all the time… atleast twinsen is good though.

ehh for sure there are other decent players on eu.
i've played eu and a few tvts/1v1s on east some years ago when I had acess to riox share chars.
I don't think duels were harder on east. They were a bit different though. :)
But maybe I did too few to judge :unsure:

pvp on d2r (yet..) seems a bit more simplistic compared to og d2 with the changes they made.
( no wsg/str bug/synch, some changed mechanics to some spells like ww to name some off the top of my head)

I'm afraid balancing things too much may harm gameplay even further potetionally making it more bland/boring.
I know you just trying to make all classes being able to compete Ferdi. But I'm not sure if thats possible yet.
Not to mention it's much easier to use shitty eq/inv on a caster and make it viable compared to some frw melee..

One option could be like they had on East before different tier tours or within the same tour with top tier chars like sorcs/trappers/bowas/tele barb etc competing in one and weaker like frw shaper, cs zon, smite etc in the other.

It may also be hard for most people to have a 40 scs inv by december.
What if everyone used like 10 gcs + 10 scs inv?? to make it fair and alot cheaper? just a thought.

i think that's how ill gear regardless lol, 10gcs. just so much easier.

the likelyhood is that next to no one will have a char "properly" geared by december. but well you have to start some time and at least this will get people thinking about it.
yes sorc / pala have it easier then most but well, thats fine too, we all have to start somewhere.
