LOTR : The 2nd age vs The Wheel of Time.
while i really hope the former is going to be good, I can see the pitfalls (i.e. they will need to make up female roles unless they want to only have an empress). TWOT will probably be good since it has ripe content which is quite popular in mainstream right now (i.e. female dominance). well there is a void now that GOT is gone...i dont need to see more cgi luke skywalker though. hopefully there will be more decent star wars outings and who knows what the foundation will bring. its a pity the culture series was cancelled, the books were fantastic.

TWOT has a LOT of possibilities, although iirc books 2-4 were fucking DULL. its also long enough that a 10+ season show is there to be made which is awesome.
