Further to our discussion, i did a quick (and arbitrary) analysis of 10 lvl 18 TvT builds and tried to classify them as either (a) a
DPS char (b) a
Tank (c) a
Support char
To do this, i ranked each build based on 4 different criteria:
1) Mobility
2) Damage output
3) Range
4) Survivability
Adding in additional criteria may help to further flush out what a build's role is in a team comp.
I have to admit though, that i found it hard to categorize some of the builds, for example the bone necro. It could easily be argued that this build is actually a DPS build since they have so much range, decent damage, and the potential to hit multiple chars simultaneously.
I think that if we as a community try to evaluate each build, we can start seeing what aspects are lacking in a build, or what areas we should start to nerf to make a build more fair. One example of this is to say, well if a lvl 18 sorc is actually trying to fill the tank roll, shouldnt it have a higher life rep cap, etc?
