what's the US dollars total for all the You-gay-yo cards you own?

i legit don't know if any have big vaules, other than blue eyes white dragon, ofc.

MTG cards have been increasing in value at an insane rate. some of the cards i decided to stack in like 2010 have gone 3-5x or more.

Lol, my cards aren’t expensive... yugioh cards fluctuate more than mtg got various reasons... some cards get low prints so they’re worth a bit, other cards are just vital to have in decks so they’re worth a bit... some cards are old and haven’t been printed in years etc etc... so right now my most expensive card is ~45-50$? The most expensive meta card rn is ~90-100$, but it’s getting a reprint so it will go down soon... I’m not sure how much actual rare cards from years ago are worth, there was a card that sold for ~1500

MTG is similar to that, lots of collecters, etc. but they've been really smart about heavily limiting the good cards in each new set which forces people to buy a LOT to get them.

MTG also got a popular new format, 100 card decks but u can only have 1 copy each card in the deck, which has made some cards which used to be trash super expensive. I bought a bunch of Wheel of Fortune's in 2010 thinking they might gain due to just inflation and whatnot. Nope, they're a godly card for the new format and the 25$ or so each i paid for them has ballooned up past 150$ each. that was just pure luck tho.

yeah fuck standard, i haven't played standard in years....

casual games are the best, look into the commander/EDH format. its super fun for groups, way better than standard 60 card.

i still have some dual lands and some older unlimited cards that are 100$+ cards, but nothing insane. that's for my personal cards.

i have a separate stack that's just for buying/selling. most expensive card in there is the Wheel of Fortunes

Nvmes are amazing. Only reason I went with a raid on my desktop was to expand the storage capacity. Doesn't really help much with speeds or at least from what I have noticed anecdotally.

Ya, formats have a lot of influence over cards. I bought a card for 15$ and it shot up to ~50, it’s gonna drop soon because it will probably get limited in the next ban list... mtg tends to hold more monetary value because the makers limit how much cards actually go into circulation which can be good to collectors and ppl who want to make money off it, but bad for players... yugioh makers tend to just put a lot of cards into circulation so it’s relatively affordable and if they see something is out of price for the average consumer they’ll reprint it after a year or 5.

The issue I have w/ Magic’s format is the rotation... the fact that you HAVE to build a new deck irks me... competitive decks range from 200-600$ and having dish out that much money each rotation is dumb.
