intentional ww lock was banned since 2004ish and it was mainly because of meitou. We called it "meitou'ing" for a long time. In my duels with elusive, he never did intentional ww namelock. Only accidental

imo hdins should be limited to 0 rep and es sorc to 10. all other chars 20. but yeah... nothing will change at this point lol

yeah that barb would basicly ww lock every duel lol

Fun?. Im sure you can put something not to serious together and tear people up!. Ive never played LLD on NL. Mabe its the Crazy items, time and experience of the players that keep me from it, i dont know. Are most people on NL "Good"?, Is there more games? like is it a Healthy population?. VS Ladder when it gets going.

I don't find it fun when there's literally nobody on the entire ladder that can kill me and I'm not even good.

You don't think 30 rep for general is just too high? :/

I like rep just to counter-act things like random ibs hits/mistakes etc... 20 rep is all you really need for that. 30 rep is a hell of a lot when you only have 1k life chars.. I think 40 rep is the limit in HLD where they have like 4k-8k life lol. It encourages l8z play

I'd be down if the rep cap for es sorc was altered to 10! then I could pruby or psaph my circ.

I think 20-30 rep is fine. I remember people saying it was 40 for years.

It's enough rep to enable defensive playstyles for those that enjoy it but not so much that aggressive playstyles are pointless. That slower pace and emphasis on positioning is the main thing that brought people from HLD to LLD and removing that defeats the entire point IMO
The only matchup where I actually find myself irritated by how much my opponent has regenerated is hdin with 30 rep + prayer while he attempts to find the stony field waypoint mid-duel
That's a problem with prayer, not a problem with rep. If it was just a rep I regen the same amount he does so it's about even

The only trap player that tries to rep nonstop in 1v1 is kyushu and he always loses (unless you count my old trapper I guess?) and nobody really cares about plague zons

Yeah I'd just disagree I guess ^_^ I think 30 is too high for 1k life chars. At the same time, it's whatever because there are like 5 regular players so as long as I'm getting duels that's all I really care about at this point haha

One thing I don't get is that most of the builds you play are strong against most traditional rep builds and only really lose to prayer-whoring libbys

I find it a little weird that your ire isn't focused on the prayer

I wouldn't include my personal interests when discussing the general rules for everyone.

But I totally agreed with you about prayer - I believe that hammerdins with 1 pt prayer shouldn't be allowed any rep at all. I put 1 pt to prayer on my charger sometimes, but with his lack of +skills it only equates to 15 rep.

Agreed with both. Always been super torn on rep, Worry you’ve got great points. What you mentioned about positioning and patience, pace of the duel is all true. My problem is rep (esp at low level) is similar to a band aid and that it covers mistakes. Sure there are situations where you take punishable risks, and rep sorts offsets that, some weaker builds need more to function well, and many other variables I’m not stating. Ultimately though, an LLD duel has always been more of a “gentlemans Duel” and you must play mistake free. Respect to the opposition - I’m not going to life rep vs your successful techs. Rep does change the game in directions nonexistent without though, so that’s always great. Duels are more artful without rep and there’s this feeling of honor too. Before I get all d2 weird I’ll state that this is without a morning toke and I’m already lost in this post LOL. Not a worry, reporting back with some d2 philosophy later on today once this new dispensary gets a visit
