the main guide does not advocate using fury. The idea with the 2 hander is to 2 hander rabies (good luck with your aim).
If 1 point furying yes, ofc you want the best base eth repl weapon you can find. the problem is that there has only been like, 1 such 2 hander, ever, that i have seen that comes close, all realms.
that rule re: no rabies applies only to 59 shaper, and on 59 shaper im just going to put in "may not use rabies AT ALL".
49 is rabies or rabies/fury or whatever. the idea for the 59's builds was to open up more builds (read: Pure Fury, or to give shape druids a better chance) and get more ppl playing, but I didnt want to then completely remove those players that only wanted lvl 49 versions. (im an all inclusive kind of person) XD
To my mind the best 2 hander possible would be a 40ias 300ed eth repl 2 sox grim scythe. i will let you know when I find one of those OK XD. While the requirements are high, the item would be used vs sorc's in which case you can use Both Thundergods for Str (instead of using the shields Str) and a Dusk x4 sox something like 30 ed 9 str 9 dex 30 cold res.
91 str + 115 dex with weapon/armor/shield slot free. 130/130 needed for an eth grim sycthe i believe, so 39 str and 15 dex needed. Thundergods is ok instead of String vs sorc's, so 111/115 - so well within reach would average jewels.

Im confused on the whole brandistock vs grim scythe family thing.

So brandistock is 10 ias faster, but one socket less. And you can simply put in that socket a 15 ias / 15 all res jewel. making the grim have 5 more ias (does nothing ofc) and 15 all res.

I know next to nothing about werewolves and nothing about MLD

its about rabies and fury. as most players of shapers will agree, its next to impossible to catch a sorc. the general perception is that shaper will only win vs a sorc if the sorc makes a mistake. this is a true statement. however, all of dueling can be summed up the same - you win more when your opponent makes a mistake. at any level, a shaper will generally lose vs a player of the same ability on a sorc. however. complete str bug makes you yoder all over the blood more, effectively leaping a screen at a time, which produces the capability similar to a pala of being somewhere your opponent did not expect you - in range of your attacks.

vs a sorc you want a range 5 weapon. IDEALLY you want to be shift furying - either with a low str requirement weapon in order to put your opponent in block animation (doing minimal damage) and then switching to rabies to do the damage, or if you dont skill fury, a range 5 weapon to simply rabies them. 1 hit invariably means = sorc dead. If on the other hand you are going down the %ED route then speed and damage being factored in, the grim sycthe i described above would be the optimal weapon as a killer in its own right, without using rabies. TBH a 450 ED is probably better then fools since its a sorc we are trying to kill with this weapon. fury 1 point wonder with a wonder 2 hander.

I saw such a fools grim scythe on east about 2 years ago. made me cry XD. 2 handers for druids are few and far apart @ MLD. Oath Feral has Huge str requirements, range is 3, which negates its use. which means we have to look at rare weapons. grim scythe is the fastest and strongest we can get = best base IMO. I think we need 60ias for an optimal frame? thats from memory, which means you either need 30ias base and 2 sox, or 40ias + 1 sox, + eth repl + 4xx ed. dont see many of those dropping and even if they dropped its a niche build so they would invariably be charsi'd.

Nokozan for inc fire res reduces life by 500. which sucks, hard.
All this is Rare Ring + Raven build. its a 200life boost vs SOJ which provides +2K Rabies + shape skills (but less life due to the stated vita from +28 stats from ring).
The rare rings are:
100+ ar 14 str 14 dex 23 life 29 fire res
100+ ar 14 str 14 dex 73 mana 29 cold res

The Res boost combined with the added life and the + AR convinces me this beats Raven +SOJ build. 100 ar is effectively 1K AR. go figure, bye bye SOJ.
minor adjustments would get cold res 275 with at least 30 DR if not 45.

not sure if you already mentioned it (haven't read everything):

Rabies doesn't kill you when you don't see the druid on your minimap.
It will stop once you hit 1 hp.

So you have to close to your opponent after you hit him with rabies.

its in there somewhere but i didnt expand on it.

Some quirky things about rabies:
1. Rabies build is a 1hit kill "skill"
2. Rabies does more damage to a stationary target then one that is moving
3. Rabies does not kill if opponent has successful evaded the druid (read: maintained a ~ 2 screen distance from the druid
4. Rabies "rechecks" every few seconds based on proximity of opponent
5. PLR 75 is the only PLR you want. Its my understanding that 50PLR + 25 PLR does not equal 75 PLR. (its' 66% ? )
6. Contrary to the belief of some, it requires skill to build one right and skill to play one right.
7. Common frw mistakes are not str bugging boots, using item frw at any level (bad) and not having enough frw (bad)
8. wolves used as a distraction is good. invest in them. they detect sync'd char's and can distract opponents.
9. In TvT infected opponents can infect their allies if they touch. Therefore allies should be mindful of who is infected and stay clear of them
10. facets setup (x6 sword, x3 shield) on switch increases the psn damage during point 4. dealing more damage based on the bonus number of facets now "in use"

rabies with 1 point fury druids:
1 point fury druids should really only use 42FR since its too hard to get to 86 without making sacrifices to damage. this should be attained by Jalal + shape 12 fhr.
1 point fury druids should use the following jewels in shield, shaft and Jalal x5 30ed 60 ar 9 str 9 dex. AR is preferred over 4 repl oweing to the fact that you are a chaser and not a passive character. you need as much ar and more in order to consistently hit all character types both in TvT and 1v1.
1 point fury druids should use Oath Naga, Gores, TO Gloves,
Oath 2 handers have too high str requirements. Rares are ultra rare, 1 every 3-4 years. consign yourself to using a 5~6 sox weapon weapon with shael / ias/ed or ias/res

alot of people see it as a skill-less build. all builds can kill all builds in tvt, you just need the right recipe.

For reference purposes only: Visionary Circlets at LeveL 30 and Level 49 and Level 59 are not worth the mod. The good thing about them is that they look nice. At Level 59 a Visionary Circlet adds only 1.5K ar (59% bonus) from 15K to 16.5K on a maxed out fury build (without a fools weapon). will post the 30 and 49 equivalents later.

the max cap is 75%, exceeding 75 is still effective if you are duelling in nm or hell due to penalties, also if the opponent is using poison facets or items with -epr then that also reduces plr%
