even in 1v1 the stats are similar, except you gain a lot of mana regen, which light sorc is low on.
and the additional fhr doesn't hurt.. there are some amazons dealing nasty damage out there :p

try 15+ fc amu + gloom's trap belt
iirc my light sorc had over 1.6k mana with this setup (and enough str to wear tg :D )

Adding to what lee said.

in SvS and vs opponents that will pray on your fhr/fcr table as light its worth crutching on the underrated damage( and faster frames) of burst charged bolts.

I played light ES as Xero for quite a long time.

stomping bowas with charged bolts is extremely effective while using mid-range play to snipe with. you can create dead zones that the bowa cannot run into because of the slow projectile speed of the bolts.

Also vs offensive fire ballers, creating diagonal charged bolt fields in a tight area can twin up nicely with thunderstorm damage to open up space for a one shot lightning.

Vs barbarians, with lightning short range and the use of thundergods its important to use the teleport speed to dictate where and when you fight high damage melee characters such as rabies and barbarians. Always fight for the bottom of a matchup where you can shoot north.

Vs Chargers especially, it is important to note that thunderstorm can effectively remove the synch from charge, and before stopping to lightning the paladin, circling once in the area where the paladin is to allow TS to go off will help confirm the paladins position.

sidenote: if a paladin charges through a single lightning bolt cast he can be hit more than once.
