I tried to arrange several 2v2 tournaments before and they failed. we managed 1 tournament and my team won, but several teams simply could not log on at the same time. im sorry but i wont be arranging a 2v2 tournament with no reserve players simply because it will be too hard to get people on at the same time. you have to understand that there are only so many MLD players and with such a small community it can be hard to get everyone on at the same time. to answer your question : different character.

we can build on it, there's already enough for me to run a nec v nec i guess. but get perz to post.

InvisibleTAV, i can see your point re: the 2v2 tournament and I do agree with you, its just so much work for me to get ppl to complete their duels. look at the current 1v1 tournament, ppl had 3 weeks and were unable to complete all their duels, now imagine that in a 2v2 environment. it will mean that there will be only 3-4 competitive teams. I will think about it.

compromise: 2v2 tournament, no 3rd player in reserve or otherwise, and the tournament will all take place over the course of a day, a saturday, which will coincide with the end of the all v all group stage. start time of 2v2 tournament will be around lunch time (12) and the tournament will last a max of 3 hours. how does that sound?

if there is no reserve player then the tournament should all be done in the same day.

when you have the problem of too few players, demanding an extra player for every team reduces the number of total teams competing..
don't know if that's a wise thing to do
also be careful with setting a limit for the whole tournament
rather set a limit for every duel.. for example the whole duel can last 30min max
anyway, i'm in allvsall, 2v2 and svs

btw don't host nvn.. the result is already obvious

2on2 tournament at one day, works perfectly, its not my first tournament like this

1. see my previous post. i have already outlined why the extra player is needed.
2. its a "minimum no. of players" limit, there is no maximum number of players. anything more then 4 players i dont mind arranging.
3.The maximum i might be able to do for the 2v2 is over 1 day. otherwise it just gets retarded because ppl simply will not be able to agree on a time to duel. hosting the tournament at the end of the group stage of the all v all looks pretty good to me. (as already posted).
4. thats like saying dont host a svs tournament since michel will win. but yes i would expect invis to win a nec v nec.
