PoE is nice plus you get paid to play. D3 feels like an expensive, rage-fueled torchlight ripoff
That being said, your connection and computer may not support PoE
I didn't try torchlight. Honestly I didn't even consider playing d3 until the middle of last season, because a buddy picked it back up after being disgusted with the initial release because of all the changes they made with the patches. I played d2 with him in the old days, and when he said it definitely had more of a diablo feel to it, i started checking it out. It is not diablo 2, nor is it PoE, it has its own feel which if you like pvm'ing, can be very fun. The gear grind makes sense in d3 more so than d2 (pvm-speaking) because you can keep making the game harder and harder, so getting better and better gear is worth it. I enjoy playing it, because I can play an easy difficulty and mindlessly shred everything, or I can crank it up and make myself focus on the game and pay attention to what I'm doing with spell rotations, cooldowns, etc.. Plus, the fire arsenal DH plays almost exactly like a multishot zon in d2, which makes it fun for me lol.
Plus, the story is pretty cool. You get to revisit a lot of places from d2, hell we just got to go back into the ruins of secheron to get the cube, and there are barbarian ghosts running around (one looks a lot like charsi tbh). There is a big blood splatter where Baal ripped the dude apart in the cinematic for LoD. Shit like that, that just lets you nerd out in a story you played with for so long.
