The repl life limits in the (tournament) rules are based around two key factors:

1. Paladins have natural (advantage vs opponents due to) repl life from medi.
2. Sorc's have natural replenish mana (and Es Sorc's are what are played on europe @ 49).

In relation to paladins, I have at times been forced to referee duels when the paladin player def's too much on medi slot.
In relation to sorc's, the repl life advantage (up to 30) is in place to offset the sorc's ability to repl mana. The sorc needs to constantly attack in order to ensure opponent does not keep repl'ing life. however, it is natural for a blizz sorc to offscreen to a degree in order to repl mana.

I understand that alot of you don't know each other very well, i would recommend you keep practicing vs the other builds and try to see where you can upgrade your character vs particular classes. if issues persist pleast pm me.
