Wow, lots of great names listed in here.

I started in classic (as in before lod) with a lvl 12 bone snap charger and such pking newbies. It got boring really quick.

Fast forward to 1.09 I started up again with a 19 ts sin as part of a guild I ran with that did tournies for 19s. Got owned by godz-llds bear Druid hard. Remade an 18 with proper max jewels and what not. Ran the gauntlet with old schoolers bela, spazz, rancid, meitou, and many others I can't remember any more.

Skip to 1.10. Ts sins are dead and buried at 18 remake as a 18 zealot. Run into saytun wielding a +zeal scepter and get squished hard. Spend a few weeks regearing and have some heated competition with saytun. Months go by and I can't seem to shake him try out new weapons. Clegs zealot because the answer. Finally best him regularly. Meet a bunch of other 18s at the time. Zolas, 2fat, and so many others I can't recall. Went undefeated for about a year in lld101 tournies. I retired my 18 to focus on my lvl 30s. Elusive took my lvl 18 mantle and ran with it for a long time. Other noteworthy friends from the scene; meegz, Leandro (lots of theorycraft on defense based characters), breakbeatz, and many elude me from the last alcohol fuel pvp fight nights.

Ended up quitting in 2006 or 2007 after a good chunk of my toons expired.

Wow, this is so long ago I don't even remember this character? I thought the only bear druid I ever made was a 1500 life lvl 9 with almost zero dmg. Was it lvl 18 as well?

I've posted here before but it may have been 10 years ago lol. I also had some fg that has disappeared. Yeah I am atomicman on lld101 and of the same name at the formally lld section of legit76 forums (76legit? it's been far too long).

Remember 76legit's lvl 76 team duels?! They were so much fun!

In .09 you had a 29 bear.

I did some 4v4 on my charger. He rocked a 330ish damage -40% req lance that I got in classic. Good times.

-Bowzon: 20 (pierce/leech worked pvp)

Ladder 1 of this patch had so many llds there were always multiple full games up. You could log on and try Low Level Duels, Low lvl duels, Low duels, 9-30 duels, etc etc and you would find many games to choose from. Don't remember many item stores, definitely none with lld stuff, no in-game advertisers only channel ones, unlimited duels almost any time of day/night, was the Glory days.

I guess the game is just too old now lol, but I find it timeless.

This brang back good memories: I remember playing the hell out of this game and trading my soul to the devil for a Windforce, (I know unrelated to LLD) but you mentioned pierce working and man guided arrow + wf in duels was the shit.. lol I always remember the days of when you could log-in and not even look for games, you would just randomly type in the common duel names and boom you are in or the game was already full! & I agree, the game is definitely timeless, I've walked away from Diablo2 more times than I can remember but I've been playing on and off for what I can't believe I guess it really has been what 15 years... I was a late joiner of JSP, I really was a big Anti-JSP player for the longest time, I religiously hated it. & thought it was bringing the game down as people just want to buy their gear, bot and no longer play. Well, I guess times change and people do too..

Thanks for the post just wanted leave my two cents

i remember probably in about 2005 or 2006 when i started lld..
i thought i made it up, i started finding all kinds of 15 max jewels (this was way before i knew jsp even existed)
anyways, so i made a level 18 jabber and found a bunch of gear to stick these jewels in, found a twitch and noticed it'd go perfectly on her
found a bunch of random life charms and damage gcs and dex/str charms. i thought she was the best thing ever. i thought i completely invented level 18 pvp. never saw anyone doing this before, i thought it was all me.

then i set out to find a bunch of randoms to duel and would just slam after slam, such a good ass time.
eventually i came into contact with a cleg zealer and got my ass handed to me.. i couldn't believe it was actually a thing. i actually remember thinking to myself '' is this a thing? or are people just following my example ''

then i saw the games up ''low duels, low level duels, low lvl duels, low duelz, etc'' and found a whole bunch of other llders 18's and 30's and that's when lld fully kicked off for me.

since, lld has just been the most fun, i remember the most enjoyable ladder that i was hard into lld for was either 2009 or 2010. there was multiple lld games up at once and duels basically 24/7
there were so many cool builds, i remember a WoF sin called MBisBM who was a really cool friend of mine. i also remember Collusion, mikeyjd's LS sin. she had the sickest gear i had ever seen for a sin at this point.
a few of the other memorable lld were: Bjcummings (bj's vlld jabber) Telehack (bj's teledudu) can hardly remember any names at this point. i definitely remember seeing Gobb, slumberinggiant, bjcummings, mikeyjd, badguts and lokitt, dark-empire, snipa, capt_slapahoe, imanewbk, justfun_lld, bigbyrd92, electric_wizard and a whole schlue of others in game.

that's basically it for now. was the glory days for me

I started like 2-3 years ago. I found a sick ass +2 Barb Combat +3 leap attack 2os helmet lvl 30 and that's what sparked it for me. Joined a random lld game with no invy and 1 shotted some charger dude with his fancy eth insight who told me I was using wrong weapon (hujjtrog)
Still love the leaper barb.

Eventually went through a phase and had a failed attempt at quitting in which I deleted my gg geared 30 leaper along with the helm of legend as some kind of self control mechanism. It obviously didn't work because HERE WE ARE and I miss that damn helmet!
Now I play necro and druid, though I really suck at druid. Getting a little better with druid but i'm sure it's going to be ugly when it hits non ladder and I try dueling with it.
Far as i'm concerned the small amount of people we got now is good enough for me (prob cause I've never known anything better)
big thanks to greg for starting up that ladder cause it definitely fired up some more lld life for the past month or so this ladder. got a few ppl in that turned out enjoying it and may keep em!
