The 10th MLD Tournament has now offically started. Please read the below rules carefully. When you have familiarised yourself with the rules, please pm your opponents to arrange the duel. The sooner everyone completes their duels the sooner we will be able to advance to the KO stage. Note that its one big group stage, so its everyone VS everyone. Top 16 players will advance.
Most of you will have noticed that I have put several limitations on the Bowazon Build - This build has consistently outperformed vs the other builds which has forced me to do this. Obviously we will look at it again after the tournament has ended, if required.
While the tournament has officially started I will allow any new entrant to join between now and the 24th of July. If anyone has any friends interested in MLD and they have a character, please get them to post in this topic asap (i.e. before the 24th). Only in exceptional circumstances will I let someone join after that date, as they would need to commit to completing a high number of duels in a short period of time.

Leevolka and Demonsangel have not decided on what builds they will be competing with yet. Also, I am aware of at least 4 additional players that may join in the next few days.
A final reminder of the core rule: Be nice, no rage / flame or pissing contests will be tolerated.
10th LVL 49 TOURNAMENT / 1V1 RULES.
(Note: when in doubt, common sense prevails for these rules.)
NOTE: SPECIFIC RULES WILL ALWAYS OVERRIDE GLOBAL RULES.
Basic Tournament Rules:
1. THE MAIN RULE: Above all, No Rage / Flame / Pissing contests. Be advised: you will be banned.
2. You cannot remake, restat, use tokens or unperm gear.
3. If any player forfeits all his groupstage duels, I will replace that player where possible, with a suitable replacement. A player that completes at least 1 duel in the groupstage, but forfeit's the rest, will be classed as TKO'D vs all remaining opponents. Any player that withdraws from the tournament of his own violition, will not be allowed back in (too disruptive).
4. breaking any single rule constitutes either a warning or a ban, depending on the severity. Breaking multiple rules or being overly disruptive constitutes a disqualification.
5. The player(s) with the most points in each group advance. Players that have dueled the least amount of duels will be TKO'd in the duels that they have not completed at the end of the group stage. The points are distributed as follows:
Win 5-0 = 4 points
Win 5-x (where x = 1,2,3 or 4) = 3 points
Autowin = 3 points
*Draw = 2 points each.
Lose 4-5 or 3-5 = 2 points
Lose 1-5 or 2-5 = 1 point
Lose 0-5 = zero points
Note: Usaully its 2-3 weeks for each group stage and 1 week for each round in the KO stage. Finally, where the points are tied between two or more players, the player with the most wins advances. Where this is number is equal, its the player with the least losses that advances.

General Rules:
6. Each person says .g before any form arrack or the casting of minions.
7. No overly defensive play. camping/def whoring, constantly running off minimap or hiding in a house will result in a warning. While there are exceptions to this rule we dont need 20 minute duels. Excessive instances of the above will result in a TKO.
8. Unless expressly agreed prior to the start of the duel, players may not afk for more then 5 minutes after 1 duel.
9. No hacks, excessive abuse of bugs, pots, shrines or mercenaries. Also, you cannot use stash to Pre-Buff (Cube in invent is allowed though).
10. In any situation where both persons die from each other, the person that died first, lost. you died first for a reason.
11. The use of charges, for any build, is banned.
12. Intentionally leaving the Dueling Arena (bloodmore) during a duel (or exiting the game) is considered a single loss. You cannot run to town to get arrows. If you exit the dueling arena unintentionally its your loss, unless both parties are happy to continue the duel (please try to be fair here).
13. Life Replenish Is Capped At 30 vs every build. Paladins that have prayer skilled can not have any rep life, and ESFB can have a maximum of 10 rep life.

Resistance Rules:
The below Rules are inclusive of Anya, so be sure to factor this in when counting your resistance.
14. VS Fire.
(a) The Necromancer is the only Character Class that can wear 85 resistance and the ring, Dwarf star, vs ESFB. [ This rule overrides all other Fire Resistance rules ].
(b) The maximum Fire Resistance any class can use is 85 or 1 item of absorb.
(c) Libbys' and bowa's may only use 80 Fire Resistance. [ This Rule overrides all other Fire Resistance rules ].
(d) ESSorc's can use a maximum of 85 Fire Resistance, Vita Sorcs can use a maximum of 80 Fire Resistance (no items of fore absorb allowed). [ This Rule overrides all other Fire Resistance rules ].
(e) 80 Fire Resistance is the maximum any character can use vs a WoF Assassin / Fissure Druid / Fireclaws Druids. You may stack Fire Resistance vs these opponents to negate facets.
15. VS Cold
(a)VS Blizzard: Each character type can wear a maximum of 250 Cold Resistance, ES builds [ Sorc's that cast ES during the duel ] can have a maximum of 200 Cold Resistance.
(b) Barbarians, Necromancers and Werewolf/Werebear Druids can wear a maximum of 275 Cold Resistance VS Blizz. [ This rule overrides all other Cold Resistance rules for these builds. ]
(c) VS Frozen Orb: Each character type can wear a maximum of 175 Cold Resistance, ES builds [ Sorc's that cast the skill Energy Shield during the duel ] can have a maximum of 150 cold res.
(d) Barbarians, Necromancers and Werewolf/Werebear Druids can wear a maximum of 225 Cold Resistance VS Orbers. [ This rule overrides all other Cold Resistance rules for these builds. ]
(e) Only 1 Ravenfrost ring may be worn by any class apart from the Sorceress class, which cannot use a Ravenfrost vs Cold Elemental Sorcs. When not dueling vs Cold Elementals you may wear 2 Ravenfrost rings.
16. VS Lightning
(a) Thundergods Vigor cannot be used vs Java's or Light sorc's that only have 1 point in the skill Thunderstorm.
(b) Paladins, Barbs, Melee-Druids/Assassins, WoF and all Sorc's can use Thundergods vigor or GA vs Light Assassin. Bowazons, Necro's and LS Assassins may not.
17. VS Poisen
(a) No character type may use - psn length duration or + max psn res vs PSN Necro, Rabies Druid or PSN Zon.

Curses and Banned Spells/skills/builds:
18. Auradins, Leap Barbs, and FC zons are currently banned.
19. NLWW is banned. Amazons may not WSG to escape from pure Trappers. There are no other restrictions on Invis GA / IBS / Hammerfields / WSG etc.
20. Slow from item or skill, is banned. Knockback from item is banned.
21. Conviction, Boneprison, Iron Maiden, [Active] Prayer, Holybolt, HolyFreeze, Decrepify, Fade, Slow Missile are currently banned. Pure FoH is banned @ 49, placing more then 1 point in leap attack for barb is banned. Placing more then 1 point in prayer for pala is banned. The skill, lower resist, is banned in tvt (but not in 1v1). Clay Golum banned vs melee.
22. Insight is allowed on anything that does not use energy shield. Harmony is allowed on any character type except assassin or barbarian.

Character Specific Rules
These rules override any of the above rules where they both clash.
23. Necro : Max 5 Walls per screen.
24. Bowazons can only use a maximum of 110 FRW vs all builds, can have a maximum of 10 replenish life vs Assassins, a maximum of 225 Cold Resistance VS Blizz and cannot use any %DR vs Barbarians.
25. All Sorc's using the skill Energy Shield must wear the shield, Lidless Wall, vs the Barbarian & Druid classes. Where Energy Shield is not cast, the Sorceress may use maxblock.
26. Lightning Assassins may not use dual claws [ for clawblock ] vs Orbers or Lightning Sorc's.
27. Werebear and Werewolf builds may not recast cyclone armor.
