pvp in general is better on d2r, legacy has wsg but d2r has farther c/t and non c/t casting plus better fps and more smooth gameplay.
lld might be a special case but only because on legacy almost everyone who takes part in lld is a somewhat good dueler so the level of competition is higher and the items are better, ontop of str bugging being gone and pally charge synch being slightly weaker ontop of no wsg and sins being really strong, but tbh that stuff doesnt effect things as much as you might think, because believe it or not there was a time in lld and pvp in general where things like wsg weren't common knowledge and people still found a way to get around mindblast even back then, and now on d2r the resolution is so much higher and the fps is so much better that just walking downward and then teleing away or charging away or zigzagging away is good enough to escape mindblast.
so rly its only the items that make legacy d2 lld better and that won't be like that forever, i'd make the switch and get used to it as soon as possible tbh because the hype dying down isn't going to restore legacy's player base, the fact is d2r will literally always have the bigger player base from now on.
i mean shit man the hype has already died down from poe new season dropping ontop of halo infinite release, the number of ppl playing d2r has already dropped drastically from its release i dont see it going down much more than it already has esp with ladder just around the corner if anything the playerbase will increase in size again and then eventually settle back down to where it is right now. its hype died as soon as the next big new game came out aka halo infinite.
No.
Your hopes for and current excitement/personal enjoyment in d2r are severely skewing your objectivity.
The game is a shitstorm of bugs and who.’s items are still completely overpriced months in.. please see 850fg sojs for reference.
A vast majority of the people enjoying d2r are either
1) idiots that command armies of multis to exploit the player base by systematically overpricing everything or
2) nerds that can’t reconcile how the pvp scene that floated legacy’s replay value for the last 15 years doesn’t even exist in d2r yet... But they still become part of the problem by joining the sheep anyway and pvming until their eyes are sore
Edit: I guess there’s room for 3) people who absolutely sucked at legacy pvp but hope they can become someone special in d2r by slaying noobs in their d2 infancy
