well, he has a valid point. most americans believe that Russia is a country full of drunk idiots with the equivalent of a 3rd grade US education, when in reality its more like 11th grade. Also Russia has many aspects to their legal system that make for less governmental abuse of the population, which makes sense for a society that fell from communism. While some of his statements are hyperbolic in favor of the Motherland they are no more or less factually incorrect than most of the posts i read in this thread. But unlike him, most of the anti-russian posters don't have a personal connection to the subject that forms their perspective. Its mostly fed by western media's viewpoint and leftover sentiment from the cold war.

Alcoholism? yes I agree its def a problem, but no more then a problem it is in us. like I said your media only shows what they want to show. I would also agree that there is more alcoholics per capita in Russia then US.
however when it comes to drugs, 75% americans are edicting in one way or other, eather pills or weed. so whats worse alhocolics or druggies?
The election is not fixed, you cant argue that, 75% of the Russian population love putin, and will keep voting for him because he did in 1 year more then Obama did in 8 years. also you can argue about government, when last 3 presidents of us are complete idiots

Obama bush and trump. education system is not worse in Russia, however its harder to earn education because u cant take lones. when it comes to weapons, yes America is much superior in technology, but not by as much as you think. like I said they feed you all of bullshit that they want you to know. the truth about Russia is every male citizen is forced to go to army, to be ready when they are needed. Yes I agree when it comes to weapons Russia is def far back from us. The sanctions wont do anything to Russia, if anything they will me more negative towards us. What could possibly us restrict from Russia and wise versa? you will remove McDonalds from Russia and burger kings? and Russian population will start eating proper again lol

the rate that matters is the rate of non-functioning addicts, in which Russia byfar exceeds the US. counting every housewife that uses pain pills but still works a 40 hr week isn't really a good metric. Crocodil, heroin, and good ol vodka fuel a larger of the population to be unproductive in Russia than in the US. Although the figures aren't lightyears apart, like i said the US is second, what i didn't say is that behind the US there is another large gap.



it is fixed though, from counting fraud to the opposition being nothing candidates who never stood a chance to the state run media. Again, the US isn't a shining example of a democratic process, both are bad.

also the education system in average is worse in russia, there are simply too many poor people for this not to be true. also another category where neither excels. like i said above its like a 12th grade to 11th grade comparison.

but overall i don't inform my opinion on Russia from western media or eastern media, i have friends in Russia or the old Iron Curtain that i have spoken at length to about this.

like I said you can argue that's its fixed, majority of the people that live outside of Russia would say it is fixed, I can defenatly say that. However if you would go to Russia and ask general population about Putin, they will tell you that they respect him.
would rather have a strong president like putin to lead your country or idiot like Obama? lets face it, we can all argue about it but we all share different opinions about different things.
