are you then advocating dupes or simply pointing out the difference?

both, i thought it was silly to need to point out the difference, but multiple people have extrapolated my advocacy of dupes to an advocacy of tmc, as if there isn't a significant difference

well, i never realized so many easties used dupes in LLD.
even worse is trying to justify it by saying "more people LLD, more LLD games"
like everyone wants a zealer with 10x6/48/20s

i don't really care about melee... if it's just left click holding, there's no skill involved anyway, so making a dupe rule there doesn't change much..

how is so hard for kids who dont melee to understand that melee ladders are ALL about building chars

some people like to duel, some people like to build

so for a melee kid it could take years to build a char that dupes would make available instantly.

disclaimer- i do not melee at all

nullifies skill advantage...

wat? we all have same exact char so skill would be the only difference. this idea also caters to those who can't afford any gear at all so that's even more people to play with! with this new genius idea you can achieve your goals of having all llders put absolutely zero effort into making their chars (besides getting your paladin crushed or using a token!).

funny that you say this.. dueling on this game got old many years ago lol. personally, the only enjoyment i get out of this game is building my chars.

fine, a no dupe rule makes sense in melee... the only variables that change are build and items, not skill... so it's already just about getting items / building... this doesn't extend to open dueling

the difference between community size between (1) expensive chars and (2) cheap dupes is much larger than the difference between (2) cheap dupes and (3) free chars

and, again, that seriously changes the feel of dueling as does tmc
