A great part of it is your determination and time. If you have enough time and enjoy learning languages any language you wish will be a good choice. However, if time is a limited resource, and practical use is a major concern the choice becomes drastically restricted.

True... I dont even need a language, but, i'm considering one. I have quite a bit of school ahead

certain languages can supplement certain subjects better than others even if they are not required. (e.g. major languages would not be required in marketing/business but useful, while latin would have relativly little use)

German would be awesome to learn. I would like to speak English, French, German, and either Spanish/Portuguese since they are both pretty close to French. Then I just need to learn aznspeek and I can rule the world
