i been browsing this lld trophy room, maybe i missed one but could some one show me a good level 18 and level 30 bracket Viso helm for melee builds just wondering whats on d2 and d2r i wana see your Trophy lld viso helms !

Viso is generally not great in lld since the ar% is based on clvl it's quite low. And it's a prefix which hurts it even more as +skills, 2os, mana, enhanced damage, and % defense are all prefix as well. Most would prefer +skills/2os/enhanced defense over visionary mod. You could swap skills for visionary in lvl 18 helms though, where visio/2os/65%edef/ctc frost nova/repair mod/10 fhr on a crown base would be perfect. If you are going for level 30, there's too many better options.

My own view is that visio is overrated by HLD players when trying to sell LLD items. Having said that:

A crafted Visio Helm cannot spawn for level 30, the requirements are too high. A rare can spawn though but the only use for such a helmet is really in melee only duels and those were never as popular as standard team duels ( on any realm ). If someone where to make the argument for using such a helmet then it may go something like this: There are 2 types of visio helmet for LLD - a helmet with high def, or a circlet (circlets can spawn better additional mods). For helmets the optimal base is grim helm, but understand the mod choices are very limited. For such an item you want 2Sox 100ed eth repl visio. that would be around 374def and give you an Ar boost from 2271 (without visio) to 2952 (with visio) *with perfected gear*. As there are literally no other useful mods, visio is desired. Circlets have way better spawnable mods, 2skill tab, 10 repl, 60 life, 90 mana, etc, which would be ample reason not to have visio on a circlet for lld.

Anyway back to the helmet: On a theory crafted helmet for a character only interested in click and hold duels : AR 2952 with visio, 2271 without (while have 3396 def and 529-1853 zeal damage with 5% amp, ofc).

However in the round, such characters would be pet projects and very niche, which is why you dont see such helmets.

Also most of us are old now, and slower then teenagers, and we dont play the game every year/month/day. computer games are like flying helicopters, the older you get the slower you get. Time and continental divide also mean that we will never see certain matches.

i only ever saw 1 lvl 18 viso that seemed "worth it". was a crown that spawned both viso and 5% ar boost, eth/rep, w/ 60+ed, 2 os, in a crown base iirc.
