defense and smite damage. There's not really any reason NOT to use one (other than the minor fact that nobody does mld on east)

with the given additional skills the number of sockets does not really matter
it usually saves you stat points (less dex required)

no it doesn't. it doesn't even need 1os, its prebuff scepter/ meditation is very usefull. not really sure how it can get any better to be honest

Does it really add significant smite dmg though, I just never really understood the urge for these... Just always seen a bunch of sit n click nerds iso them.

best part about that scepter was that it came from a 15 fg pack of a bunch of items

at 49 i'm not sure what the #s look like, but at lvl 30 it does make a decent enough difference considering how low the damage is on smite. on 49 though, your options for swap are limited though, so why not maximize what you can?

also, prebuffed HS doesn't display properly on your character sheet. you have to run it through a calculator to get the actual #s
