if i am being honest i voted b-tier thinking it would have the same rules as the last b-tier with no xbow zon being the only change because that was how it was advertised. if i had voted s-tier it would have been 7 to 7, so please stfu.



the s-tier event will allow hdins and sorcs, i think we can both agree that most new players build 1 of the 2. there are some really great duelers who have yet to be able to take advantage of your charity in these events, people who deserve it.

i am not even talking about me. i'm talking about people like hyung who only plays zon and is pretty decent, deadman and sinxxx who are both amazing hdin players but dont wanna enter 30 events that don't allow din because they dont have fun on non hdin, whiteshadowmaster who only owns a sorc, jay and bt who have yet to enter a single event because they like the better characters because those are the characters they have invested the most into.. people like that.. who have never entered a single lld tourney but give their time every night in tvt, and play way more often than even you do. those people and the others i haven't mentioned, deserve to have a shot at having some fun instead of being told there is a tourney duel going on so tvt is shot for the night..

i'd appreciate if you pool man, i don't have hate for you i honestly feel like you hate me because of me discussing rules too much, it's not because i dislike you or your events, i have said multiple times the first b tier event was my favorite ever and that is counting the hundreds of hld events i have been a part of even. i understand what you are saying about s tier not being for everyone that's why i had the idea of only 1 stier char per team, so that none of the double s tier teams can be played, and it promotes more fun than priding.

imo if people want a tourney for their ladder hdins then u can run it and deal with the complaints about l8z and requests for refs. you'll have 1k fg from andy and 500 fg from me. so there's your prize pool, first prize should be about 2x the worth of the hdins in the tourney.

there have been and will always be noobies in any event, im not a dick or i could point out several in every event that has happened recently, if you honestly think hdin will be that prevalent when i just named 4 other players who would likely enter on non hdins and only 2 who will, then idk what to say man. i personally do not think that many hdins will join, it will be 1 s tier per team so all of the ppl who enjoy playing a-b-c tier chars can partner up with the ppl who dont have anything but s tier chars, making for a much larger event. it's not like hdin/barb, hdin/zon, hdin/sorc, sorc/barb, zon/sorc, zon/barb will be allowed or anything. shit won't get too crazy with those team combos being not allowed.

id personally never run that, its a fucking mess of drama and requires refs.

the whole idea behind b and c tier to me is to just handicap the whole field enough where even if its not fair on a matchup level that people can avoid the drama and just duel. i think thats the spirit behind it.

just as FPK tourney is less about perfect balance, and more about playing around to test and get people to migrate that may also catch the bug and join with a standard LLD.

the idea to me that fairness AND those goals can be accomplished is crazy to me. ive sat through too many 100 page long arguments about rules for 13+ years. never have i seen a balance of rules work out well. always people upset. the most fun turnouts end up being the wonky stuff where people are forced to leave the dick measuring alone.

no i agree 100% on 1v1 s-tier, that turns into a pride fest every single time.

the idea was for 1 s tier plus 1 non s tier 2v2 tourney. to combine the 2 sides of the coin. the ppl who dont wanna pride and just wanna have fun, and the people who either want to pride (there is currently less of these ppl on east than i have ever witnessed there being in over a decade) or the people who simply don't own anything that isn't s-tier and basic like zon hdin sorc barb users.

i feel like even if some priders fall through the cracks they will be partnered up almost certainly with someone who isn't and this can balance things out, ya know?

also ontop of that, the people who MIGHT end up being priders, will be less of a problem in a 2v2 tourney than a 1v1 because the right non s-tier team mate, can be the tipping point and deciding factor in a 2v2, more now than ever before because literally none of the top 10-15 llders on east atm are priders at all.
