Just to emphasise here, nothing wrong with a bit of diversity and it has to be acknowledged by all that Textbook woke us all up from a 6 month slumber, so kudos to him in that respect. i would defer to others in terms of 18's tournaments / ladders as its not my area of knowledge / expertise, in terms of 30/49 i'll talk to ppl over the weekend with a view to hosting something in the immediate future. conscious alot of ppl are making alot of characters at the moment.

Pure charges being banned is 100% common rule in 18, and very common in the gm tournaments of NL East (Which is where I have all my experience LLDing - also typically less structured).
As for the pure 49 charger - if that's something you don't like - I'm not forcing you to enjoy this ladder and it's tournaments, nor am I forcing you to post here.

A bit more beside the point, I believe Ferdia will be making a new 30/49 ladder - he has more experience in Europe LLD and maybe you'll agree with his style a bit better.

ya indeed i have been a bit rude and offensive. pardon me C:

Well, these days i got my semester break and i dont really got any commitments - so ill have some free time. I actually thought about joining the ladder until i saw the rules ^.
I havnt been playing for like a year, so i guess you dont know me, atleast i can see alot new faces here, and nearly no of the old guys im used to play with.

Anyway im playing LLD for abit more then 7 years now. I used to start with MLD and lvl18, but that is long and now i stick to 30.
Thats why i was only refering to the lvl30 ruleset you made. ( MLD always had retarded rules and i am not that much into lvl18 )

I just dont get why there should be more and more restrictions. It always worked quite well w/o it - but that was a point that harabec was never able to understood.too.

Diversety sounds nice, but will NEVER be accomplished. D2 LLD ( esp. lvl30 ) is alrdy quite well balanced. We have to accept the fact though, that there are two classes of characters - on the one hand thoose which are viable for pvp ( Sorcs, Pnb-Nec, Hammerding/Libby, Bowa, Plaquer, Barbs, Trapper / Traphybrids, Charger etc. ) and on the other hand thoose characters which are not viable for pvp ( Shapers, Fissure, Cszon, Windies, Zealers, Smiters, Kickers etc. ). Still for lvl30 as example.

So how about balance thoose which are viable, and use the other builds for tvt and fun builds? For example i dont get that frw restrictions ( 75 frw lol ), but you dont allow infernos on certain chars against Firesorcs, which are indeed powerful.

Well probably its useless debating about such stuff, but thats just my 2 cents.

ironic how the rules for lvl30 that i wrote were shorter than the ones that were originally used on jsp in europe (not to mention originally used in littlewars league).
i agree with the general concept of viable pvp chars and those that are not, and i have always pushed towards removing all special rules concerning the latter group.
textbook was/is obviously inexperienced in this bracket of dueling, but there are very few who aren't and far fewer who actually play different chars well enough to be able to judge what's fair from different points of view - at least he shows initiative instead of complaining.

The bolded was my goal  I have little to no experience in europe lld/mld, and my experience in lld/mld over in east NL is over 6 years old (and mostly forgotten) at this point. I just wanted to get a ladder together using Ferdia's example of rules and a few changes that I remember from east (and another user's rules from Eu I found in their profile [cant remember name]). If someone else (like Ferdia) wants to make a ladder to replace this one, I am 100% supportive of it (less work for me, still get the reward of activity, and the bonus of experience and wisdom). I'll also be happy to mediate any tournaments as a result of it. The only thing I can not/will not partake in is wager'd betting/duels. Tournaments are fine however, and I would gladly (And love to) mediate in those.

tl;dr: I've achieved my goal, and I'd enjoy having someone more experienced run the/a ladder :)

I fully agree that wager betting duels should never happen. and 100% not at lld/mld. it invites discord when 2 players that dislike each other wager duel. 3 players colluded in the previous tournament i hosted which had a fg prize. thankfully i sorted it out in the background. the less said the better. obviously at that point i added the rule "no colluding or match fixing" ...

How are windies not viable for pvp? And also not smiters? I agree not pure smiter. But a smite charge or smite/foh whatever hybrid is viable. Has to have amazing gear though.

But windy... That's a viable character.

when teleport comes from staff it can be bothersome at times to play windy. eu never really picked up on tele staffs compared to east. eni is lvl 65.

yeah, the small period that i picked up a tele amu for a windy at 49 was met with contempt for the most part! It turns a completely unviable character at mld into a monster.
