whenever someone on east gets scammed we track down the person that did the scamming and make it so that he can no longer play in lld. if the scammer sells the gear to a person that knows he is buying scammed gear then he is just as guilty. but if sold to a unknowing buyer, we tell them they are using gear that was scammed and tell the person who was scammed about who now has the gear. imo it is up to these 2 ppl to work something out.

but regardless, if i had access to an acct that has scammed gear i wouldn't use it.

There is a problem.
The situation, as I see it, is similar to theft of vehicles.
If you leave your car unlocked, someone may take it.
However, they will still be punished for taking it, because they shouldn't have taken it in the first place.

The golden rule applies here, very fittingly.

If I were you, I would choose not to associate myself with scammers, or people who have willingly and knowingly used scammed accounts. It's a poor reflection on yourself, and it can jeopardize your own security in the community as a non-scammer.
