I did the damage calcs for multiple setups; they way I socketed items and the items I used make for the most versatile setup.

40 life vs 1 socket on armor.
19 or 20 damage is 3 grand charms basically
3 grand charms is 60 life vs 135 life and 63 mana
Rare armor is incredibly sub par

Damage jewels in armor add more damage then Ed/dex when used in conjunction with my specific dex and gear combo, that is why there are e jewels in the circlet. I've tested both setups and I've tested using a calc the difference using a -15 in the armor makes.

I use my brain when building characters, I test, retest, and do the math.

try testing 4os gothic plate with 4x jewels intead of 3x breast plate

-60 req=28 str req
you gain 20ed/6dex (aka extra jewel) you lose 5frw due to frw penalty
5frw=around 4dex, aka you again 20ed/2dex

try using that vs max armor (maxers in circlet)
