only thing is according to 101 (and i lol) this is an open duel. melee to me IN DIABLO II LOD EXPANSION terms is a head to head, standing still duel with attacks that require attack rating, never moving from taht spot you started from

running away/ect for OW to effect is a good type of dueling and fun but is not true melee IN DIABLO II LOD EXPANSION terms

i like that setupfor a 18 kicker sounds fun. ive alwasy been a non-fan of crusfhlange (ulgy + terrible name) so i like tha tsetup

according to lld101 and Roy specifically melee duels are toe to toe, otherwise its bm. and if not called then its not bm.

Unless you're running around waiting for OW to work (illegal anyways), it's still going to be a melee duel. It's too hard to have a pure hold-and-click duel against a smiter with an interruptible attack - you're going to get knocked around too much.

If you do consider this an Open duel, then the pally just needs to switch to charge, and the duel will be pointless.

I've seen lvl 30 NL kickers using malice polearms years ago. It's a pretty well known anti-smite tactic.

We don't have any good 18 kickers that I know of though.
