never seen anyone beat cotas barb or andys zon. maybe its different on d2r because the truly amazing gear for barb and zon hasn't dropped yet, but meh.
hard to ever get interested in a format where its either 1 of 2 chars or bust.

Imo the most component was gear check (5frw scs or not), I mean a lot of esfb sorc have won mld tournaments so I dont think mld was poorly balanced, anwyays much funnier than lld to me

every class won a tournament @ MLD on eu, with our bible of rules. mld on east was simply not mature or balanced, thats all. the most mld i saw on east was in the last 5 years (i.e. only yesterday).
for 2v2s' barb+blizz, ama+pala, barb+pala were very strong teams, but we mostly just did 4v4's. Anyway, MLD will be cross server now so we will see how it goes in d2r. the changes from d2lod (no more desync) make run based chars pretty nerfed vs sorc's.

1vs1 in a format with wsg allowed and shit, zon is pretty much unbeatable except vs a good barb. i agree with ferdia's take honestly. it was unbalanced as fuck, maybe not in the early days when all the truly insane barb viso's nd shit hadn't dropped yet, but once the insane gear was available barb and zon ran roughshot.



your bible is for devil worship! it condences the game down to its most simple form and removes entire layers of mechanics! but yes you are probably right, unless you limit things to death there's just no way for mld to be balanced once the game has been out for long enough.

very cheap to make mld compared to LLD / HLD. just saying!

Unless harabec stupid str bugged barb, I never really struggled against barbs as bowa.
Rabies druid eats alive any bowazon. unless you have some strong stygians maybe and lucky hits while running away.

its also been quite some time since you played though man and the item pool in the game has evolved greatly. cotas barb is absolutely unreal. his arreat viso is literally top tier even for HLD. his tele amulet is pure insanity stats wise. his erep fools and his erep cruel are also hld quality. you could probably come close to winning a melee hld rare only tourney with his gg cruel sword.

hard to compete with barb when it 1 shots you immediately. same can be said for zons when it comes to gear evolution, yeawhatup's zon is so insanely geared now man.

Except schala stole all that zons 5rws years ago and never gave them back 😚😎
