LLD was created to kill people in leveling games like tombs.

diablo 2 is a pvp and pvm game, all at once. many forget this, they think of only baal games, trading games, and dueling games. all in their neat little compartments. hc players no better, when u leave town you're not safe.

It’s also a sex game if you meet the right people.

As my learned friend Snipa has pointed out, the originaly purpose of LLD was probably to troll. Over the years it has morphed into what it is today. You do not need the best items to be competitive. I mean Vita Sorc's/TeleDuDu will not break a piggee bank. Yes certain builds favour having gg items (Barb; Ama) but thats at HLD as well (fools weapons etc).

also, if i am not mistaken https://www.diablowiki.net/Low_level_duel was written at the time of D3. Therefore please read it with a pinch of salt, noting D3 does not have a credible PvP system.
As Avenged said, some players play at lower levels noting the times you come across good players is smaller then when HLD'ing, but certainly on EU we have seen alot of HLD players (even elite players) leaving LLD after losing.
LLD does not level the playing field noting fundamentally, without enigma, the bracket will favour the skill teleport. In this regard East (with teleport staves) is a purer pvp environment then EU.

indeed, barb in bad gear = bad, sorc in bad gear = good, sorc in good gear = gooder, barb in good gear = good.

my first Vlld was a lvl 12 bash barb in full civerbs, because it had +max/lvl and i thought that must be GG, +9 to max dmg jewels. took many leveler ears with my buddy, whos char was a lvl 9 bow zon with jewels of envy. he'd tag them i'd kill em on their way back to town.

pretty much that. LLD is for some of us a labour of love. you can consider some of us decadent in our pursuit of perfection. provided people get enjoyment out of lvl 9 or 99, let them build/find/live in their own home in the game.

glad to see u choose to obsess over light sorc tho, coolest of the 3 elements.

what no i dont obsess over light sorc, i just built it since there was no guide, there was a glut of 15/12's available and items available were gg. i also didnt want everyone dying to my fireballers (twinsen and fen0). i was hoping to put twinsen on a light sorc in the current tournament but he opted to go on a stupid tele druid. i mean, the results are going to be 0-5, cant see any enjoyment out of that but well he likes fringe characters i guess!
