I voted 18's but I'd also do 30's with 2 week deadline

I can't play weekends mostly, but weeks are fine since im working on computer due to covid-19 anyways

although I owe my partner an apology in advance

Voted 30v30 2w since I only do 30's
However, on second thought I'd prefer a weekend tour if thats doable. Not sure how plausable it is to get everyone online together though?

How is teaming done btw, randomly or premade teams?

Usually people go with their mates but I actually love the sound of 'out the hat's teams. Would definitely bring some fun to it!

Could also do something interesting if you dont have enough players for a 2v2 tour. Say you have 8 people on or whatever, randomly draw teams of 2v2 for a FT3. Grant points to each player on the team individually for the win, randomly draw new 2v2 teams from the 8 players (no repeats) and go again. You will end up having 7 BO3s tvts, should be able to be run off relatively quickly if you have all 8 online at the same time, and the winner isnt a team as such but the best tvt partner arguably.

Weird unbalanced matchups can happen, but as long as you try to be as random as possible when drawing teams rather than picked (i.e. some people might think "shit, its Dan and Lee's turn to team up - I wont pick Frank for my team mate this time, I want someone better haha) then it could be a fun twist on tvt.

i had thought of an idea like this previously, but for an active ladder. when i did the math with normal scoring it quickly became a "who is online most" competition.

so i played around with the idea of wins adding points and losses taking them away. that way even if u play a lot more than some others they can catch up with some wins or losses on your side.

prob make a floor of zero that way i dont have to get embarrassed with a score of -57

Not sure how many participants we would be looking at, maybe 6 teams top?

Any idea of how you'd organize it? 2 groups with 3 teams in each, every1 faces every1 and top 1 from each group gets to the final or just one big group and the team with most points wins?

We'll lose some players as well depending on if it goes 18 or 30. I for example would probably only play the 18 one while some ppl would only play the 30 one, so probably wouldn't be looking at too many teams.

Shouldn't be too many duels in all of the scenarios so might actually be doable, hopefully!

i voted 18vs18 2 weeks

Same.
