The problem with shockwave is the skill's range. It's really hard to catch people out with it during TVT.
Also, since zons and other builds use deaths, they can just life leech off of your summons because the pvp penatly doesnt apply to them. Windy's don't really have the same problem because they can make up for the weakness of their summons with the damage that tornado does when they stomp you.
Cadagan spent a very long time trying to optimize a summon druid with me in open battlenet. He definately had fun playing the build, but unfortunately it isnt very strong in the current 30 meta.
It's not strong in any meta except town guarding xD
Dont get me wrong I've seen a few gangster hld shockwave/shamans but anybody on a better char with decent skills will not lose to that char
