Yeah if you have the one off odd iceblaster it might be good to carry a shield like this in inv.

but you prob have zero res, so you'd need to put in 2x res jewels. which only max at 15 sing res for vlld. so you have a +48% cold res shield, still need more res lol.

Yeah, with res jewels in this shield you can get close to max cold res. Although you would need more MDR stack to really nerf them.

Personally speaking though, any amount of MDR in vlld is pretty op. Casters really got the short end of the stick in that bracket. You have to dodge and weave flawlessly and stick like 500 hits. Meanwhile anything phys can 1-2 hit ko you

LB zon with KB javs is about the only "caster" that reliably works in ranged VLLD for 1v1.

bowas are ofc good but that's not a true caster.

sorcs are expensive toys with very low power.

Fissure is good, but not as competitive as at 18.

my personal favorite is a feral rager with razortine on swap. once u catch them they never get away again. i had some test duels with Frank and iirc went about 50-50 over the duels. u can cast wolves to block lock them, get a slow, feral for more frw, and they're stuck.

I think a teeth necro has potential in a 4v4 (rare af moment these days) to do constant dps to an entire team. Again MDR would be super bm vs them. But then again, top melee vllds have life rep stack too (for some reason) even though they kill eachother before they get a chance to rep. 15 life rep is an fu to casters.

ranged vlld and caster 18v18 should be zero rep. use eths or saphires or w/e. but zero rep.

nothing more painful than 18 fissure v fissure or bonespear vs bonespear. 20 mins per duel, nty.
