also socketting an item with inate ED that isn't a weapon, I.E. pally shield or circlet, causes the same bug afaik.

Weapon with XX% ed + 20ed/9 max jewel = no bug

Pally shield with XX% ed + 20ed/9max jewel = bugged

Circlet with XX% ed + 20ed/9max jewel = bugged


case 1 is written incorrectly imo. has been on every graphic i've seen not Zorbaz fault

Example: Circlet spawns with base 9 max, 30% enhanced damage

i still need to test it but i'm 99% sure that if you socket a pally shield with:

ED only jewel = no bug

min and/or max = no bug

ed / min OR max = ed bugged

ED / min AND max = BOTH min and max are ED bugged, aka only the min and max apply.

i would assume that a circ with %ED and max can be socketed by ED, max, or ED+max jewels without bugging, but that min or ed/min jewels might bug. hell even min-max might bug. it's an interesting thought.

Me and excellence we're just talking about this. I deleted the thread but there is one in this section that explains it and based off it, circs with both Ed and min/max are safe to put min/max jewels in but still not Ed/max.

Yeah it's been a long time but I've had a couple of decent Ed+max circlets

IIRC with Ed+min or max you can use min/max jewels without a problem but if you put % ed jewels of any kind in the item it bugs
