true, but we have a bit different goals. my main goal is to make unviable builds viable by tweeking them, usually adding some itemlame pieces to make it work. my shocker is a good example, i couldnt get half the kills i get without a perfect inventory and a helm with 3x 1-60light/20 ave phys dmg jewels, with a matching armor. i lost a LOOOOOOOOOT more for years before it got those items, and its the only char of its kind on all realms.

goom is more about leaving an unviable build as is itemwise and exploiting game tactics and being patient to eventually get a kill on noobs. like his WSG exploiting builds that otherwise are in like 100 fg of gear.

but i've got a lot of respect for theory crafters, good duelers come and go. some stay, but overall theory crafters love the game more and stick around longer.

not that it has anything to do with PVP but goom is also the best classic rusher i've ever seen without MH. rivals many people with MH in speed in fact.

goomshill is crap, even by ladder pub standards. I would be willing to wager a significant amount of money that he would lose to a ft5 and you already know I havent even dueled anyone in almost a year



That's always been my goal in hld too. The difference between goomshill and I is that he thinks his builds are good.

you guys need to stop conflating skill for knowledge. someone with no hands can be knowledgeable about the general statistical breakdown of a build vs other builds, and what tactics work best.

goomshill was the first i ever saw to make a lvl 30 dumo dudu, all the way back on lld 101. then it came over to jsp and there were many many threads where he was called an idiot with people strawmanning him as if he was claiming it was good or even viable. being more of a troll than he is now he played his part well and had most of the subforum on a string for years and years.

do take note that this unnecessary assessment of goom's skill got started when i stated quite simply that goom's list of matchups for sumo dudu had bowa near the top for best matchup. which is still valid in my opinion. i can think of a few that might be higher but it's still up there. if you think that goom thinks his builds are legit viable he may have you on a string as tight as he had Break in the "what the best way to find a +3 defiance war scepter" thread. look that one up for some good belly chuckles if u can find it.

I love theorycrafting. No other game has been able to fill the hole d2 left since I quit. Feels good to be back playing again.

that's a pretty fair assessment. i dont think he's done anything in 5 years except classic rush first week for fg then buy gear for a troll char to kill people in week 1-2 pubs with big gear advantage and big build disadvantage. its the only time those builds work in pubs. but beyond week 1-2 you can wsg to live but you're not gonna get many kills.
