My item hunter is going to be a really fun project char as well, going with a dual lawbringer barb tomb hunter with mass frw and vigor on a1 merc with harmony. should kill all undeads in 1 flash of aura while also pushing them all back up the corridors. only stop to hork bosspacks and 1 WW kills all non-undeads if the merc hasn't gotten them all by that point. should be a fun passive mfer and tombs are a hell of a good ilvl for all things vlld

my actual vlld is most likely to be a sac, BoS, blade sentinel sin. a build i've wanted to try for some time now.

ranged vlld, at least for some fun ffa's is going to be something i want to try as well once we get a few people with chars.



u might rly enjoy a vlld bowa tbh.

that's good. because ranged are 12s :P

most fun dueling i've ever had was on east ladder 5-6 years ago, JSFly made 8x accounts all with 1 lvl 12 bowa. all had just basic set gear, and had dmg and life balanced rly well. we would play capture the flag in random maps of d2, Frozen River comes to mind.

sometimes even simple chars can be fun, and ranged vllds are like a 100 fg char!

My build i scrapped together in my head, if anyone sees any glaring errors feel free to point them out!

Barb:

IK helm 2x topaz

mf ammy

wealth armor

chancies

2x nagael

goldwrap (gosu 10 ias, very wow)

ik boots (40 frw / 25% mf with hat)

2x lawbringer swords

a1 merc w/ harmony fast base like double bow, steelskull, w/e armor to hit best ias bp maybe a 60 ias magic armor


build currently has no CBF, but is unlikely to really take hits even with no block. could swap on a ravenfrost if it's an issue.

Quit?.. I haven't asked people to play ladder with me since ladder season 1. And it already seems to have more interest than NL duels has had in the last 3 months.

well yeah this is a contributing factor of moving what duelers left avilable to go do non dueling things then duel on a core/realm not meant for duels

but i was poking fun anyways

I figured it was you or Avenged lol ... it makes the most sense.

But yeah, I'd way rather come back to fresh level 9 hunting/building/dueling than 30s :) I don't have as much time to play, my ping is 300-500~, and it's a good way to be able to MF and duel both. The dueling isn't as exciting but it's nice to just chill with a joint and chat with your good buddies. That's what I'm down for!! Especially at 500 ping.

i play every ladder week one because tbh it's the most fun diablo 2 has to offer. pvp > pvm generally, but ladder week one is an absolute rush. the idea that any monster could drop you a 2-3k fg item is just so much fun
