Someone did really well on a v/t in LLD but I forget who it was. He mostly used smite though, the FoH was just there to force l8z cowards to play more offensively. I think it was trix123 or something, can't remember his exact d2jsp name but he was the only one that I ever saw do semi-well on a v/t

So yeah in short, if you want to use FoH I would suggest mainly focusing your setup on smite and maybe just have a +3conv/+3foh Honor war scept + spirit on swap. Or PM that trix123 for advice.

There is one on Europe too that does very well. Pretty similar style regarding foh too.

There is someone playing one on east occasionally last time I was on. He’s not bad but same sort of play style smite with some foh flair. There are better builds but I imagine it’s a fun character to play. You don’t have to make top tier characters to have lots of fun.

this is the most viable build for any pally using foh in 1v1 imo. a smite/foh played perfectly (like trix) can do well also, but i maintain trix would take more ears on my char

Foh isn’t too expensive. Finding a decent scepter will suck. Easiest weapon to get is a +3 foh +3 convict 5 socket scepter and dump honor in it. After that a decent +1 circlet and ammy come next. After those it’s a spirit pally shield with res, vipermagi (stashed spirit shroud for cbf), sojs, magefists or frosties, cow kings or sanders, and maybe have a vt switch (strength flail and upped swordback hold) and if no vt stuff use spirit and a scepter with meditation and/or holy shield.

Like most lld builds, charms will be the hardest part. You will need a decent chunk of mana so you can charge to move around and keep up fohing. I had one years ago and had a lot of fun with it. If you only go +skills and not tabs (I liked that more than tabs) you do something like 700-800 foh damage and -105% resists.

5 Foh/conv magic scepter is overrated imo. better to have +10 replife on both sides, assuming you have a fant scepter for smite on other side not in an honor even more so, or an honor divine for charge/fant its nice to get constant rep.

mana is honestly not awful, with an ammy with 70+, 2x sojs, and spirit. i run zero mana charms, but im sure if you want to play a less aggressive v/t build you'd need some for sure. getting meditation on a scepter is the most important. if you're lucky enough to have a 2 pcomb/mana circ that would be ideal.

that would be the takeaway of the build, utility through automods. on your foh/conv scepter you have 1 spare automod for skills like meditation/holyshield, then on the other side its very important to try and work in more automods, zeal especially. if u can reach 5 phase zeal with zero pts invested you're going to gain a lot of utility with no investment. vigor is free with tearhaunch, which i generally use to max out res vs casters, where u dont need the AR that sanders gives. vigor in tvt is godly as well

perfect scepter for me would be something like:

3foh/3conv/3holy shield

3holy shock/3zeal/3meditation

no replife on ammy means i still hit repcap with spirit shroud, using a pcrown in FoH setup with only 10 rep.

some tips in no particular order:

-zeal on sins can get an easy win, they MB away while you're uninterruptable chunking their HP. especially if they're dumb enough to use clawblock

-the salt 84 light res brings is real

-FoH bait bad windys to telestomp, zeal swap and u win with a recharge if they can even run. hshock kills puppies and they can land on you with no meatshield at times

-ammy with plr is a godly addition, otherwise plaguers are going to need to be charge/zealed down the second u get poisoned

-spirit shroud is a required stash item vs blizzers and especially windys

-good luck saving up 20 phys dmg / 1-40 light dmg jewels. only took me 4-5 years and a pack of friends helping in the hunt

-vs barbs devolves to cat and mouse FoH, boring duel but should be a 5-0 for the pally unless the barb is godly

-vs fire sorcs good luck!

-vs necros, and many casters, you need to run and foh down summons/walls enough to get them on insight. this can take forever, but is the best chance for a win. necros are tough

-vs bowas, flip a coin

-vs windy i try to pulse down the zoo, and peel off their cyclone armor, get in charges on staff. foh down oak safely. running them out of charges is not preferred, better to hit their staffside. druids dont typically go oom.
