Thats cuz Vanquisher is shit in lvl 30s. Smite doesn't do nearly enough dmg, only way i can think smite being effective is for stun and knocking them into hammer field
And you should really post up your strategy and tactics against other builds for a guide
Duel like a Libby... except going in for Charges with Charge/Fanat is really only to set up your Fanat/Smite strikes. Sync hard, try to bait yourself and fight in your fields. If/when you see the opportunity for a Smite session, try to push enemies toward your hammers ofc or get them into stun/fhr and Swap to Hammer side to finish the fight. Generally you aren't trying to Smite a FB sorc to death ofc. If you get a clean shot at 2 -3 Smites but don't get the amp cast, that's fine, this character has the versatility to get out of trouble and start over. In general:
Sync...Field...Bait... Sync...Smack...Kill. lol
