its decent for a smiter, not great. Id sooner use a plain +1 pally or +2 pcomb/ctc amp/2Os scepter
...and i dont know prices on west, but on east that would be rather overpriced.

people see 5% amp and get hot and bothered

truth be told, its really useful only on certain situations and builds, and 30 smiter is not one of them

Amp is just icing on the Cake in a TvT Situation and can be clutch w/ proper Swap for Charging

if you are building a smiter, ctc amp is definitely a mod to look for.

the sacrifices you make for using a 5% ctc on hit weapon is not worth it not even in tvt situations.

what sacrafices?

with a 2 socket scepter, you still make all your bps for speed and such.

the only downside to that scepter is range 2, versus range 3 from a flail

the only thing this sacrifices for amp is its suffix

u could have a 2 o/s 30% ias base, and fill it with ??? sockets
or u can have a 2 o/s 5% amp base

tell me, is anything you can socket it with worth more than 5% ctc amp? Cuz thats all ur losing when you have to shael it

range 2 vs range 3
having to put yourself in a melee position for a bit for tvt, 5% is 1/20 hit
not sure on ias BPs, but not having 20-30% on your weapon probably will drop you a frame

overall i dont see the need to neglect a 2 pcombat/30 ias/2 sock flail for 5% amp. the 3 Fanct helps, but i highly doubt enough to outweigh an optimal smiter weapon

at 30 im fairly sure by the time you smite 20 times, the duel is over. granted if it procs first 2-3 smites you'll get a huge benefit, but otherwise i cant see it playing a giant factor
