what is funny is that everyone seems to miss the fact that his charger still has a huge max damage

its funny because you don't realize that the min damage would actually be higher against most characters given that any damage over the amount needed to one hit is excess

let me explain:

if a character has 600 life, you would need a max damage of 3600 to one hit them

now, lets say a min charger has a damage range of 2k-5k damage, where as normal charger has a damage range of 500-10k

in reality, given that any damage over 3600 will be doing the exact same damage as 3600, this reduces both sides to a max damage of 3600

the min damage charger's average damage then becomes 2.8k, and the normal charger becomes 2050

obviously these numbers are all hypothetical but the theory behind it is what matters

Pure max often has a theoretical higher average damage...... that just doesn't hold up in reality.

300-4k vs 1k-3k setups on my scrub (compared to weaj's) zeal vs all was night and day. The 1k min setup mean every hit was atleast 1k (with many higher) before cb/crit etc. Was also a noticeable improvement on my BvB (350-1k vs 125-1250), the min just won more duels for me despite having noticeably lower crits than opponent at times.

Damage per hit is not calculated by average damage. So a build with lower avg damage can have a higher output overtime just because of no bad rolls. Its just because there isn't an easy calculation for this, that naysayers still persist.
