if you type "hammerdin snafaru" into google a pdf link pops up. It's a decent tool but the base hammer damages are, for some reason, not correct. The base damages are off by a few, but you can change it to be correct min and max base

K thanks. For his set up, you and him are right then.

Jawn and Iuse +1 skill items which may be the diff. I remember testing this a long time ago and it was max hammer,max vig, 2 conc, rest ba which gave me the best output. + i've seen trev say that he's tested it and i know jon did too.

+9 to all stats from gear: (2x spirit (4) + pcrown (1) + ammy(1) + 2x soj(2) + vmagi(1))

lvl 22 blessed hammer with no synergies does 224 max dmg. (13 base + 9 = 22)

With 19 pts into synergies and 1 into concentration: 819.840 max damage
Now add in a lvl 10 concentration (base + 9), that's 195% aura damage. Half the damage increase from aura. 97.5

819.840 * ((97.5/100)+1)=
819.840 * 1.975=
=1619.184

now if 18 synergies were used, and 2 into concentration:
Base after 18: 788.480
Conc % @ lvl 11: 210

788.480 * (((210/2)/100)+1) =
788.480 * ((105/100)+1) =
788.840 * (1.05 + 1 = 2.05) =
=1617.122

using a lvl 10 concentration (1 pt) and a lvl 22 blessed hammer: concentration, based on my spreadsheet, should not be added into until 24 synergies are added in to gain maximum damage.

I know I figured out something in there with just a slightly higher dmg. Not sure how though cuase it was a few years ago. next time i get the opportunity i'll check my hammerdin and see his layout. But I can't be too far off if two other perfectionistos ( bel & jon) are saying the same things.

Yes the VAST majority of LLD's look down upon the "poor" Hammerdin. But due to numerous requests I have decided to post my guide up for the "Cookie Cutter"version of this build.

This build hits 125fcr/86fhr and +75 Resists in Norm.

Also there are a few "variants"of this build, but like I said this is my guide.



Stats:
Pretty standard.
Strength: Enough to wear items.
Dexterity: Enough for max block after holy shield.
Vitality: Remaining stats.
Energy: none (if you do delete your d2 account)

Skills:
Assuming you get a full grush (hell) you should have 41 skills to work with. There are a few ways you can skill your Hammerdin, but I have chosen the "Cookie Cutter" build for this.



Combat Skills:
1 into Smite (Prereq)
1 into Charge (Prereq)
1 into Holy Bolt (Prereq)
13 into Blessed Hammer
1 in holy shield –You will have to skill this if you don’t have a holy shield scepter to prebuff, but for the sake of this guide put 1 into it.

Offensive Skills:
1 into Might (Prereq)
7 into Aim (Synergy for Blessed Hammer)
1 into Concentration
Defensive Skills:
1 into Prayer
1 into Cleanse
1 into Defiance
12 into Vigor (Synergy for Blessed Hammer)

Equipment:

Helm – Peasant Crown (+12 Rep) socketed with a perfect skull (for regen of life/mana) this will be the best choice unless you have a 2Pcomb/20fcr/30+life/30+mana/2os circlet which is very unlikely.

Weapon – Spirit Sword (either CS, Long or Broad) Preferably 35fcr you get skills, life mass mana and 55fhr.

Armor – Skin of the Vipermagi 30fcr +1 Skill  (35 Res / 13 MDR) socketed with again a perfect skull (no other options here)

Shield - +45 Res base Spirit Heraldic shield. - This is the only option in my opinion, you gain 35fcr skills, res,  life and mana and another 55fhr (to break the 86fhr point).

Boots –  Cow Kings Boots 30frw , +20 Dex (needed for max block) or Sanders. 40frw +10 dex +5 str (so you lose 5 stat points, but gain some ar and 10frw)


Gloves – Mage Fists again no other option 20fcr and 25% mana regen.

Belt – String of Ears - I always wear it, 15mdr/15%dr is very helpful. (unless against a Cold Sorc throw on your death's belt)

Amulet – 2Pcomb/10fcr/life/mana/mods - +2 Pcomb will add more damage  than +1 Pally. You will also be wanting all the life/mana you can get. (Also with this you hit the 125fcr)

Ring(s) – 2 x Sojs, again no other option + skill and MASS mana.

Switch - Insight - Runestaff LVL 17 Med / +6 Crit, again no option MASS regen and nice to finish off when the other charc is low on life.

Stash – Death sash (cbf).

Charms:
40x 15life/12mana sc's
Or if you’re on a budget: 15lifers plain with the odd mana mod'd one.

With this build even on a buget you will hit 1300life and 750mana, this is more than enough to take down "most" characters.

As I have said above this is purely MY "Cookie Cutter" build and I noticed in the Guide Section it lacked this build.

why? Charge from a runestaff insight takes AR to hit. Or did you really think he meant ar for hammers?
