Hi all.
I've got my level 30 Zealot finally at desired level (following Weaj's guide https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=43688682&f=143), and have maybe 70% of my gear so far; still looking for a 3os+life LP and a primary wep. However, my question is in the prioritization of max damage jewels in my shield. Should I only run with the 15max damage jewels? Or should I do between 12-15max and other mods as well?

Shield:
4os Akaran Rondache (65ED/101AR)

Available Jewels with extra mods:
12max/20% enhanced dmg
15max/21 cold res
13max/15 @
14max/12 @
9max/15 fire res

I also have 5x plain 15max jewels as well as some random lower max with % enhanced dmg as well

Also - looking for a primary helm at +20life/3os, but I do have a very low life (+3) with 3os. Should I put plain 15maxes in that temp?

Looking for feedback here as it's my first ever LLD.

Is it pure melee or team zealer? Probably a good idea to just use plain 15 maxers as placeholders until you can find better damage jewels (like adds 8-15 dmg or 24 maxer, or better). 15max/20 mana jewels are not a bad choice if you’re going for team duels since you’ll need to charge a lot and they shouldn’t be too expensive. But you’ll eventually want either damage/attack rating based jewels if pure melee or damage res/double dmg jewels if team zealer. E/ but don’t put dmg/res in shield since you won’t have res on your 2h swap

You can also craft a 10ds/20life/2os helm using a level 15 for both shopping and crafting, shop (not gamble) only in act 2 normal. Should get 10ds/xxlife/2os in under 250 crafts. I got 2 in 150! It’ll be better dps than 3os helm. Something to shoot for.

Really good advice! Thank you - super new to this LLD stuff, but also very interested in it as it requires that game knowledge to maximize output with the limited inputs available.
Unsure if I'll go solo or work to find a team. TBD at this point

I've been trying to shop some various armors, but I think using my high level chars is a bad idea (as you indicated using a level 15).E/ Deadly strike, duh... sry

This. I’d rock spirit 65/121 akaran with peace and 2 offensive circ/ammy with sojs tbh. Insane dmg/cost with lvl 9 fanac for teammates which will also give you 4 fpa if rocking a 50 ias naga or 5 fpa 20 ias battle hanmer with similar DPS but less range and more charge dmg

The level 15 shop is only for crafting deadly strike helmets not for shopping armors. Once you know which Type of zealer you’re building the gear will become more clear. That’s why I for now it’s best to just put plain 15 maxers in your gear Just to test out the build And after you get some duels under your belt It’ll be more clear to you what you need and what you don’t need

Yeah, thank you again. Understood. I’ve got some lower maxes as well, so may even save the 15s for closer to end-result. Getting a lvl 15 going now to shop and craft! Any recommendations for helms? Crown, great helm, casque?

So it has to be a regular “helm” (condom hat style) from act 2 normal fara or Elzix in order for the level 15 to make sense. Crafting that helm is more end-game than a priority

Awesome. I appreciate you taking time to explain some of this to me. I think that having a goal, regardless of how niche it may be, will add some excitement to the game and goals of finding those specific drops.

For sure, I think the first thing you want to mail down is whether you’re going for pure melee or team duels/vs all because that can/will drastically change the build. Neither builds really use life/3os armors end-game. Melee will use an ornate with a 3/3 honor and tvt will use peace with a rare erep
