Wasn't LLD initially intended for affordable dueling?
So one don't have to spend weeks/months to level 95-99 a specific biild.
And don't need ridiculously expansive high end gear for competitive and fair PvP fun.

First, it is now possible to respec. So one only needs to level one char per class to lvl90+. Then you can respec and try out builds in no time. Rushing to lvl90 takes just 2-3 days.

Second. The godly LLD gear is so freaking expansive, that this fact basically defeats the original purpose of LLD. One LLD jewel might cost more than total perfect full lvl9x char. It just makes no more sense to me. By the time you collected / traded all the gear you need to be competitive tha ladder will already be over.

Im not into LLD (basically for the second reason). Just wondering.

Lld on euro/east were never meant to be less expensive... they actually made it so it was harder to get into lld, no dupes, no prepatch etc...

The biggest reason for lld is cause we all suck compared hlders so we have to play a slowed down version of pvp to have fun.

you can make a lvl 90 for 200k fg
you can make a lvl 30 for 2k fg
you can make a lvl 30 for 200k fg

Twinking has existed in every pvp game ever made. And no, quite often twink gear is more expensive because there's less of it.

You're second point can also be applied to HLD too... like a 7 fhr 9str 9 dex 4 rep jewel is more expensive then any character I have ever made for HLD. (at least now after duping stopped). Just saw Aspen selling a 2 druid 20 fcr 20 dex 60 life ammy for like 15,000 which is way more then I have spent on any character I have every made.

Perfect gear is going to be expensive regardless what level you are playing at.

Cookie cutter builds can be made for both HLD and LLD.

Even if you respec at 99 or at 30 you still have to acquire the gear for the build you are going for.

There are also builds/classes at both LLD and HLD that are better then other builds/classes.

Plus I remember dueling HLD and people would just have bots come fuck everyone up in the game which isn't fun at all.
