I am using this topic to record my crafting session results for Mana Boots.

specifically :

Caster Boots

Formula: Magic Boots + Thul Rune + Perfect Amethyst + Any Jewel

Boots #1

Best affixes: 30 cr/lr + any affix from the list: 3 dex, 10 fhr, 10 frw, Poison Length Reduced by 25%, Half Freeze Duration
Comments: Since 30 cr/lr have highest rlvl - equal 13 - it's exactly same situation as with Caster Belt #1. We can get only one other affix and lvl req of our craft will be 29.
Be aware that Magic Boots can be bought only on normal, so we can't get high ilvl on them. We will need to adjust clvl then (look at Common problems and misunderstandings for further explanations).
Where to buy magic magic boots: Charsi (Normal), Gheed (Normal), Elzix (Normal)
What char lvl we need: For both crafting and buying belts we need character level 49. Belt must be bought from Elzix.
A slightly better would be Charsi or Gheed with char lvl 50, but with 49lvl many people can use mld chars, and 50 lvl gives you only like 1% better chance for roll resists rather than something useless.

Doing 160 crafts today. The idea is to get 10FHR 20 Mana and 5 Inc Mana. I'm not too particular on anything else. watch this space I guess?

GL getting 2 sox, or well i guess you will get a few 2 sox, how often does that mod spawn? anyway, i guess i can do alot of these since the market is so flooded with materials now that everyone seems to have a robot.
want to guess how good i can get with 160 ? you are allowed 1 guess. [ remember, what i am aiming for is 10fhr 20 mana 5 inc mana ]

Interesting!

I know. The issue with shields is the same with mld kb gloves: all of the mods are relatively low level, but you need 3-4 mods to make the item worth using.
So you either roll on a very low char to limit your affix pool, but then you get like 90% 1 mod junk, or you go high level to guarantee 4 mod rolls, but will get mods that push the level req through the roof.

I rolled like 300 shields in single player and none were useable lol. Its rough.

how realistis is getting 10fhr 5inc 20 mana from 160?
but yea, thats why i went with 49 rather then 90
ill probably end up trying to get repl boots too, since my light soso has no repl life (other then pskull and belt when i nn 10fcr from it). but thats a way a ways.

I mean, the 5 inc, 20 mana (and 10% mana rep too) are auto mods (albeit perf rolls) so i think you have a reasonable shot. But if you also wanted res stack, you might be in for a rough ride

i dont think i can get fhr and a res with this session ? unless i am reading kuki wrong. with anya fixed we really dont need res on boots anyway, but cold res would be nice.
everyone seems to have 6/9 jewels and getting cold res as well should not be too difficulty (i.e. Anya + 35 + cold res circ/belt/amy rather then boots is do-able).
this recipe is 5 mod instead of 6 or ? (4 instead of 5?).

Im not sure whether i understand what you mean, but it seems like you basically want 1 mod boots (fhr).
5% max mana, +20 mana, 10% mana rep are all auto mods and dont impact the overall ilvl or clvl

For reference though:


21-31 single res (prefix) has an alvl of 18 (rlvl of 13)
10 fhr (suffix) has an alvl of 5 (rlvl of 3)

So the highest rlvl is 13 here

The formula is: Max rlvl + 10 + (3x the number of affixes)

So 13 + 10 + (3x2)

= 13 + 10 + 6

= lvl 29 req

If the boots didnt spawn with res, you could also get 10% frw or ctc nova on them or 25% plr

I didn't count so im not sure how many rolls mine took.



I rolled my fhr boots on a lower level since i only wanted fhr affix.
