i know basic non enhanced dmg war scepter is 10-17 damage, how much dmg is one with 14% ed on it?
trying to see if i should just hel my current +2 defiancec 5os 14 ed war scepter and put my remaining min dmg jewels in it because rn its usin 93% enhanced dmg/19-21 dmg and only hits 38-53 1handed dmg
i almost feel that with its 14 ed base, just putting 5x plain 8 mins would be like 50+ to 50+ dmg wouldnt it?

a 2 defiance 14 ed war scepter is a dream iso. the fact u got one is pretty crazy

10*1.14=11.4
17*1.14=19.38

truncated down it means ur 14ED scepter does 11-19 instead of 10-17

so w/ 5x 8 min jewels:

11+(5*8)=51. so it should be a 51-52 dmg scepter after you're done.

and 51-52 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>38-53

the average of the jewels in there are:
15.8% ed
3.8min-4.2max

so the jewels are generally just fairly low. 8 mins would far exceed them, and a min dmg build will almost always out perform a max dmg build unless you are running god tier 14 max jewels with min on them as well to raise your min.

for a defiance sac pally ive always found min to be better, for a might sac pally max dmg can be better.

as an addition ED/min/max jewels are nearly always overvalued. ED on a low dmg base is underwhelming compared to other brackets. toss a 20 ed jewel into a battle hammer and you'll see 40 dmg increases on the max end, 20 ed on a war scepter gives you 3 dmg. and that ED mod could have been a min or max roll that's more.

yeah its a min dmg build, i had amazing jewels for helm (2x 8 min xx ar) and same for my erep 2os AA (1x 8 min -15 rq 1x 8 min xx ar) shield has 32 min to 33 max with 162 total ar (was lucky and found a 8-9 dmg jewel to put with 3x 8 min xx ar)

but weapon jewels i had a hard time with because i didnt have the knowledge you do.

so can you help me out snipa? if i do 601-602 dmg right now, and i change my scepter to 5x plain 8 mins for the time being, what would my dmg become?

as a rough calculation with ur wep doing 38 min dmg now, going to a 51 min dmg weapon should raise you 13 in weapon damage, then multiple that by whatever ED you're doing based on your sacrifice level.

i would assume you have level 8 sacrifice, 285% ed. so that 2.85 multiplier comes out to 37 raw dmg more.

so my guess is 638-639

but im too lazy to do a full calc and factor in weapon dmg, gear pieces, etc. it should be roughly 35 more dmg, i think, but could be more. been a long time since ive run a full calc for VLLD and im sure i could be missing something.

tl:dr 5x 8 min jewels @ 50-75 fg each is worth it for this char given the other gear u have and how ungodly sexy that base is.

and yea i got the base from asylum andy, i was very happy and super greatful

then my stats would be like 640 dmg, 1520 ar, 1750 defense, 480 life.

i know how gg zon is for 9s but i find them boring even tho ive got an extremely good one (well 2 extremely good ones and 1 above average, i just share em with my buddy deadman28) but i much prefer high defense min-max sac barb, pure min high ar high fhr sac nec and min dmg sac din, but until recently i only had a might aura sac din now i have both defiance and might one of each din. finding i like the defiance din more.

dude ive never even seen a shiver armor min dmg sac sorc, only lvl 12 shiver ice bolter or w/e they are. so id be super pumped to even see this char idec if i lose lol
