I wanna make merc lvl30 for my lvl 30 char (yes :D just for fun and bm XD)

I wanna use ethereal insight with high ed roll, let's say 250+ and 6crit

not sure about helm but probably some 3sox helm with dmg jewels, let's consider 60edmg 18str helm for this (or 60ed 27dex helm if more dmg for a2 merc)

but question is ... what would be best damage-wise armor for such an a2 merc with might?

possibilities:

1.) 4 socket armor with four 20 edmg 6str jewels (I can't afford str +dex jewels so just either str or either dex)
2.) 4 socket armor with four 9 max dmg 6str jewels
3.) or perhaps same but dex instead of str (forgot from what a2 merc benefits more, just lmk)
4.) enigma of peace
5.) u tell me if there's some uniq/rw or whatever better damage-wise armor pls

I think the problem is that the merc will die to basically everything. I would probably go for survival over damage on him so you can abuse meditation longer and spam fireballs or whatever you are using on your 30 build.

Or if you are really aiming for bm, might as well put a grief hybrid on an a5 barb merc

btw, I didn't mean that seriously, I have gm barb who has antibm gear in stash so I wanted to use merc as some slight boost for occasions someone starts bming, thats all

thx for advice but I think it's a bad idea to boost some survivability coz merc is rly 1 hittable. I want telestomp with it so it either die or hit some and die after :D I am using it on barb so medi is nice too but no have fireballs.

also, there's several reasons I dont want a5 merc:

1.) I want might aura for some extra dmg boost coz my barb would use grief of honor and beast of honor
2.) gl getting grief of honor in sword on eu... or?
3.) btw why not eth lance honor? it can reach almost like 450 upper dmg so with might it can be comparable with griefs on a5merc? (probably griefs much better tho but pricy as fuck)

btw you didn't help me with armor and dmg calculations related to it, all kind of mercs need some armor, right?

If youre going bm on a barb just use eop and goh and you dont need a merc. Youll 1 hit everything.

I assumed you were on a caster. I actually don't know anything about the hybrid runewords, they didn't exist in 2010 when I was most active. Who would you be getting bmed by? I haven't dueled much on eu this year, but everyone seems to be gm.

U can't one hit high lvl chars or mld chars
