So I got to the garage and found that my tire spun without the rotor. It had literally broke between the rotor disc and hub. So I went and replaced my front rotors, (had just done my pads last week, decided the rotors weren't that bad) and took it for a test drive. No grinding, great. Slight hiss when braking, but nothing out of the ordinary for new pads/rotors.

Got back and my front left (same as broken rotor) was smoking like crazy and extremely hot. Caliper is hanging up?

2002 Subaru legacy gt limited sedan, dual pistons in the front.

Replacing that caliper the only solution? Lmk if you've run into this problem.

Really getting tired of spending money on this car, just getting discouraging

Edit * also horrible burning smell

you could rebuild the caliper, but its not exactly cost effective
